originally superman only jumped, not flew; further he could be stopped by oxygen starvation or gas...note in Electronic Earthquake he got the wind knocked out of him by falling debris while underwater.
Nowadays the animation is smoother, movements are more realistic, the effects are better, and the scenarios are more fluent. (a random stationary cart explosives, the bandits cary enough dynamite to blow up a bridge and for some reason mannage to get so far enough ahead of the train to set everything up and get to a safe distance, they can lob bombs into moving trains) People don't stand for such nonsensical plot devices anymore. The main reason you like this is nostalgia.
1. Why the hell would you ANNOUNCE IN THE PAPERS that you're about to ship billions of dollars worth of gold? I mean you know there's a criminal element thats going to be all over that.
2. Where did Louis learn to use a gun like that? She's one hell of a woman... can use a machine gun and has no qualms about potentially killing someone!
2) She just pulled the trigger and fired from the hip, not needes any expertice. Yeah, she could kill a criminal which was shooting at her, but so that criminal could kill Louis 8/
The largest shipment of gold ever attempted is in great jeopardy from reaching the U.S. Mint due to a squad of masked bandits. Superman deflects bullets and stops a runaway train with his bare hands! You have to see it to believe it.
The third in series of classic Fleischer Superman cartoons, Billion Dollar Limited starts with heavily armed guards keeping watch as a billion dollars of gold is loaded onto a train, to be taken to the mint. As Kent leaves, he is almost swideswiped by a strange looking car. Inside the car is a gang of masked thugs, intent on getting that gold for themselves. In their technologically advanced car, they are capable of catching up with the train, and several sneak on board.
Meanwhile, Lois Lane, stranded in the wilderness, is eaten by badgers.

The locomotive looks like a PRR S1 locomotive, but slightly smaller than the (now long since scrapped) real one.

Maybe you didn't see the part where Lois Lane was RETURNING FIRE WITH A TOMMYGUN. Enjoy your whitewashed, watered down modern cartoons.

Actually its a rocket without an active fusalage. Just a fuse in its place to detonate the explosive material inside.

Back when being a superhero was about doing amazing things, not being thuggy anti-hero with a dark past and a few powers.
