Does anyone know if you can shoot the video's as a .wmv file instead of a .MOV file? I want to edit it on WMM since the other program doesn't work, and converting it ruins the quality, which is the main reason I bought the camera. Help!
I own one. I have lost the USB cable so cant get the software off the camera. Other than that. I take it Mountain biking. It can take a kicking. But the major Plus about it is that it uses AA batteries. And SDHC card.
Its a great camera. The native VGA videos work with an iPhone/Touch without conversion.
@175myles the control are really bad, the image is great. It used to drop frames when in hd60 mode, but a firmware update fixed it.... Bottom, it's a great cam for $69 bucks
@manicania it's not meant to make anything scripted. It's just a nice portable HD camcorder. I have one and I really like it. The flip may have better color, but this has better motion. It's a lot easier to pull this out when you are vacationing than a handheld.
Video quality on zx1 sucks PERIOD! It is too shaky and it is useless without a tripod. In addition, when you turn the camera the picture gets smeared.
Guys, trust me, I've tried them all - there's nothing better than Vado HD so far. I hope Creative Labs will come up with a new version with memory expansion slot. Then I'll definitely buy one for myself.

If you need a camera that produces perfect quality videos and is water-dust resistant, buy a GoPro HD. But then you will have to compromise on size. In other words, there's no camera out there that is perfect from any perspective. But I still think that picture quality is #1 criterion, when choosing a camera. If it sucks, than other things don't matter!

Useless review. He didn't mention the most important thing: using this camera "on-the-go" is practically impossible, as it has no video stabilization. Everything else in this camera indeed gets 10 out of 10. You will get amazing vids only using the tripod. Just this one little issue makes a huge difference. Refer to "Nissan GTR" video on the side for a raw shaky footage.
exactly man, i regret buying this junk. doesnt even have a macro mode. if only they wouldnt take a 15% re stocking fee, i would return this and buy a zi6 or a dxg 567v instead
I use this cam with rechargeable Sanyo AA 2700 mAh. Fresh batteries run 2:45 hours, two days lying batteries still 2:30 (room temperature). Every 24 minutes I deleted the 2GB SD card within seconds during these tests.

im trying to get a small hd camara easy to download but am mainly looking for image quality..clearness..good sofrtware
overall a better quality camara..am not sure which to go with dont mind spending somwere between 150 to 300
whcih is ur honestly advice,.,which would truly give you a better image quality thankz
