I hate to get involved with the philosopher's vs sorcerer's debate, but JKR named it "the philosopher's stone" and says that she wishes the name was never changed. For fans of JKR's work, therefore, it's respectful to call it "Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone". Just because it's called Sorcerer's stone in America doesn't make it right.
