  • Hey I was wondering, I'm done with the main game and I want to get as much of the enemies in the Museum as I can. how do I get that Gold Giant Tap Tap in there, I hit it with eggs and it never gets into the Museum, I know I probably don't get anything, but its just a fun idea to get. I know you gotta hit the enemies with an egg, but it just doesn't work with this guy

  • It kind of urks me to see that they just gave us the same 1 castle boss as the last game

  • Again I see some interesting continuity with other games. The red coin sounds are the same as in New Super Mario Bros., and the sound when you collect everything is the same as when you get all of the red cons in NSMB. Also, I don't remember if it was in NSMB, but in the Wii version Kamek also powered up all of the bosses.

    Given that YIDS came out after both SPP and NSMB, I assume it was all done on purpose, too.

  • I think you're right on the Berts. Leftover from SMW2 like 1-1? Also: are you planning on 100%-ing the Museum? I've never done so, as some enemies are tricky (I think you need to hit an egg to get any one enemy in).

    No winning pose after boss battles is a minor downgrade as well.

    Last I checked, in both games, both Bert boss sets have deflating underWEAR. (If I missed a pun, this comment will look dumb :P)

  • It's been awhile since Codemaster99 has done anything, although Kirby's not my thing. I'd/I'll check it out.

    Another problem as I watch some bouncing egg maneuvrs: Baby Mario is required to have eggs bounce. Bouncing shenanigans shouldn't have been limited like that and hamper level design.

  • Baby Coins are another problem - these don't feel fun to collect when restricted to one baby. Being forced to come back to 1-2 and 1-3 is annoying too, but they insisted on having Baby Peach introduced later and maintaining a 13/13/13 split with the three main babies.

    Evilpoptart, the YI series is about satisfaction of a job well done when it comes to 100%, so... yeah, lol.

    Hey Miles, pick up the slack on these minigames, you're mega-failing. :P

  • One problem with this game is there are a lot of rarely used elements. Sheila kangaroo is exhibit A of this, and it isn't a ton of fun to play either. Of course, the big offenders are two particular babies, one whose ability is a bit glitchy. This leads to the belief there was a lot of shoehorning at the end of development, which is too bad. We'll get to those babies eventually, but the level design with them is still good in some spots.

  • Super comment list activate:

    When Roulette gives you X, I'm pretty sure it's more likely to get 0 and less likely to get 2/3, as opposed to +.

    100 lives is NO problem... both SMW2 and this game have always been generous, and this game gives you random 1-ups for certain world total scores (never figured exactly how that works).

  • Are you going to show off the museum? That's one of my favorite features in this game :P
