Beautiful installation,but ignores a couple shortcomings of CFLs-they are not "fully" dimmable, not like an incan or halogen bulb.The dimming range is about 50% as is evident from the video,very narrow. 2nd, dimming severely reduces the lifetime of these bulbs. 3d, they can't turn on dimmed, they must be turned on at full voltage so no preset dimmers for mood lightng. CFLs have their place in the proper application but can't match halogen or incan for color accuracy (CRI) or dimmability.
They are still not as slender simple and elegant in appearance as incandescent bulbs, especially when you compare the candle shaped bulbs in downward facing open glass shaded fittings. The CFL versions are fatter, and have a large white plastic collar.
My homes pretty much switched to energy saving bulbs now in the last 3 years. My room lights are still spon lamps at 12v, 50w each so four of them is 200w power so quite energy thirsty but theres LED bulb replacements which consume 4w each and are cooler, changing to them very soon.
