I never rinse my no-rinse. don't fear the bubbles. also, don't forget to show sanitizing your hands before handling the sugar cubes and box. how do you sanitize the sugar cube box before handling it? dude, you need to get a second bucket to use for bottling. you'll get an even distribution of sugar in each bottle, too. and you don't have to shake the capped bottles (getting them oxygenated) after filling. not good.
No-rinse sanitise means that you don't have to rinse - you giving it "a good rinse anyway" is actually making things worse. Chances are your hot water comes from a boiler - this water isn't completely microbe free, so all you are doing is sanitizing and then undoing what you've just done.
Sanitizing on the shitter is OK. It's not like the microbes are crawling out of the toilet bowl, up his thighs, down his arms and into the bottles in five minutes. (at least not during this century) I'm curious about how the cane sugar carbonation turned out.

I forgot about this yesterday those bottles you primed with sugar cubes might have a cider like quality to them because it is regular cane sugar. Muntons and Coopers makes these little carbonation drops that are made of dextrose you should try and see how they work.
