  • can u upload any pdf file u want to read in Kindle?

  • I bought the IPOD 4G 64GB because its small and the screen is so amazing. Along with a better web browser , applications, the ability to use Skype, Play games and more makes the IPOD Touch a clear winner. Now I can go on flights and have entertainment without lugging my laptop. The Apple 3G is the best Ebook reader as you can watch YouTube, Netflix and Hulu streaming content. Sorry to burst your bubble ,

  • @travelplus1 sorry to burst your bubble, buddy, but i have both the ipod and the kindle, and the ipod has a tiny screen, strains your eyes, is impossible to read in sunlight, is more expensive, and it just isn't made for reading books.

  • @fr3nzi What's so horrendous about the iPhone's screen? The Kindle is horrendous because of its size. You have to hold the dang thing in your hand everywhere you go. The iPhone, on the other hand, can be put in your pocket, therefore resulting in TRUE portability.

  • @vinylrecordcollector You're saying that if something can't fit in your pocket, that it's not portable? That's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard. Go back to your kindergarden class your ignorant piece of garbage. It's portable because you can take it with you anywhere.

  • iphone's screen is horrendous in comparison to kindle...

  • does text to speech work on iphone app

  • i pre-ordered amazon kindle 3 i cant wait

  • can u read anybook u search up?

  • I have a 160 gb Ipod, but not the touch. Can I get ebooks on there?

  • I'm thinking of getting an Ipod Touch. I currently have a Kindle and have to use a light to read at night in bed. Just wondering how the Ipod is on the eyes in a completely dark room? Should I just stick with the Kindle or can you turn the brightness down enough that it's comfortable? Thanks!

  • you should get a lamp, because the itouch is hard in the eyes. reading large emails is so headache indusing.

  • due to the backlighting, the ipod touch it will annihilate your eyes if you plan to use it for heavy reading.

  • Thanks for the reply. I actually got the ipod touch and LOVE it for reading. I'm not a 'heavy' reader but I usually read for about 45 minutes in bed at night and it works perfect for me - I prefer it over my Kindle and use it with the black background/white letters with teh brightness all the way at the lowest setting and it's perfect :) I definitely think the Kindle is superior for some reading conditions (like sitting in a chair reading ALONE) but in a cramped space in the dark I <3 my ipod

  • @quadruplelatte totally go ahead you can make it very comfortable

  • Many years ago, long before Kindle, Sony, and all the other Johnny-come-latelys that have come on the market, I started reading eBooks in my Palm using their eReader program. It is customizable (font size, colors, themes, etc.) before very long. the best thing of all was autoscroll, which moves the pages at a speed you designate. The size of the screen never bothered me because, well, how many words do you read at one time? I have nearly 400 books in this format.

  • There's no T in "across."

  • I prefer the Iphone/Ipod Touch over the Kindle :)

  • Can you really read the text well? I'm considering getting an iPod Touch, but it seems like the screen would be annoyingly small- even if you can make the text larger.

  • Yes I do, I'm using Stanza ereader and chosen a 16 lines displayes per page. I have read 3 books in the past two weeks.

  • Since I'm not in USA, I'm NOT able to buy any books from Kindle bookshop - I REALLY REALLY wish I could. Having read ebooks on my Blackberry (mobipocket format), I'm still not able to read them on my iPhone because no such software yet. Sigh!

  • i need an iphone. T-mobile!!! ugh

  • N to da OPE

  • can you use whispernet on the ipod touch? since its better than wifi

  • No, it has no cell antenna/radio.

  • The Kindle's Whispernet is the Sprint data network. It comes with the Kindle no monthly fees. Keyboard is for adding notes and searching.
