Its good I like it - and I had similar problems with my driver : ) who spun the wheels for a meter the first time out - lol - to resolve burnt motors watch this -
It came with a "normal" steering wheel, but it was at a bad angle for adult use and we both kept hitting it with our knees when pedaling. The options were to move the steering column up, or reduce the width of the wheel. Moving the column was more work than just changing out the wheel, So the hack was to go all the way to a tiller stick. This allowed good knee placement and made pedaling much easier. (very helpful after the motor burnt out)
good first attempt!! now your better prepared for the next one!!

The motor came from Mendelsons Surplus in Dayton OH. it was not very good and burned up after a high speed run on the playa at burningman 08.

Nice job but I wish you told me where you got the motor from.

nice build! Didn't quite make out the source of your pedal kart; where did you buy that from? Thanks.

The frame came from Tractor Supply. It's in their catalog. It a poorly made China thing, but very hackable.

inexpensive?
shame to hear about the motor; i was thinking about using a starter motor of a junked car with a lot of cooling added in lol
