  • HEMA > Kendo

  • HI-YAH!!!

Dam that shit must be sharp =o

With that music I felt like I was watching a Dynasty Warriors intro movie =P

  • This would be better if u had like japenese music or dynasty warriors music...

  • I have read Piotrkowicz's book-very good, lot of hints for practitioners. Also,he was the first Pole, who performed Mizu-Gaeshi(as I recall) on master level.

Battodo is very interesting,it has been made strictly for fight

  • I feel sorry for the Bamboo

  • its kinda cool i wacht a few kenjutsu vids they all was abput slow fightin that suckt is the stuff they showd in the vid battodo or kenjutsu ?

  • @fiestamaniak

mostly battoudo, i think. Is kinda funny different people call iaido, iaijutsu or battodo. I think all that is the same.

  • Sorry but yeah remove that music and put some classic Japanese music instead.

  • Can some1 tell me the difference between batto do and kenjutsu? i am currently studying kenjutsu and there is a batto do class im thinking of trying.

  • That's more like it!

  • the multiple cuts at 1:32 are well done

  • i wish i could find classes in saint louis :( i have no idea where i can learn kenjutsu (i think its called kenjusu)

  • @eliteslayer66 With the large Japanese population around St. Louis you should be able to find something. David Lowry who wrote the book on Bokken lives there.

  • bla bla bla manga kids. A sword is meant for killing the same way guns are.

The only difference between Knights and Samurais is the geographic location. Both are landlords, aristocratic and militarist men who can wield weapons.

  • Ale fajne video. Chyba nawet najlepsze kenjutsu video które widziałem

  • I myself do practice Koryu and in part iaido, but do find it an interesting alternative view.

  • Excelente..parabéns..

  • well living in that era would be somehow good but having a samurai life isnt fun at all.. putting martial arts and dicipline aside .. beeing a samurai means to serve and to kill people that are against your master..thinking about it i couldnt really kill a person.. it really needs a ver strong state of mind to dont get crazy, because the katana really cuts trough flesh and takes life..thats why im good in this era where there are at least less bloddy deaths than in the dark middle age

  • You're kidding yourself if you think the modern age is any less bloody or violent than any other.

  • madcat unfortunately ur right

  • actually there is plenty of historical evidence in favor of the view that you are wrong and he is correct. The immediacy of modern media just makes you more aware of what atrocities do occur. Look up "Steven Pinker myth of violence" for an interesting discussion of trends in violence of the last couple of thousand years.

  • okkk this is awesome! where can i learn this

  • the music reminds me of a training montage

  • man why wasnt i born in those times wan samurais existed! and in japan, thats always been my dream

  • same here

  • Same here 2! Thats why I do kendo/Kenjutsu/Etc

  • Same for anyone watching this video i think :P me too i was born in the wrong era :(

  • I think every body that believes in discipline and strength thinks the same thing/

  • not to mention going to war, having the mindset to kill your enemy at the seat of every technique etc, its not fantasy land

  • agree

  • I don't know about everyone else, but I'm perfectly content learning martial arts when I know my life isn't going to depend on me knowing them. Lol.

  • @redwyvern8688 Wasn't the case in Feudal Japan

  • I like this it's real

  • the music was so crap I had to turn it off to watch the Vid, then it was ok

  • @gekiryudojo whit be awesome if it was hiten mitsurugui ryu related;)

  • ya, real samurai school is a little different from that. they would practise there cuts on prisoners, not bamboo matslol a little different in todays world eh?

  • Toyama ryu !

he school that was taught by the Japanese forces.

Not really a samurai school as in being very old but some smooth moves.

    Thanks

  • kenjutsu is really great and kenjutsu WITH KATANA thats really...really...really Uber Imba xD

  • this is fantastic, i'm just about to join a class for battojutsu. i know this is different, but the vibe is just great!

  • Cool not exactly my style of Sword play but some of these guys are pretty good

  • :-) comment is a lost of time. Moves show it all. A diamond is a simple stone to ignorants.

  • one of the most lightest and deadlyest swords in the world

  • i would love 2 be in that school any day me and ironlamb will kick ass and so will the other samurais lol

  • Awesome. A lot of skill there. Dodgy music though.
