@hittersean14 i was thinking the same thing. dont hate though some jap motors are capable of holding power but that motor pushing over 20psi will be scrap metal in no time. better have a built bottom end and a good tuner. i got beat by a scion pushing over 17psi of boost. I was pissed i drive a stock 98 cobra though.
@TheBopop I have no doubt that its fast. They prove right here it is. I know you dont run 20psi all day and race all the time, but that little motor cant push that for long. Its a 17k car. Why didnt you save money for all the upgrades and get a sti or something.
@hittersean14 Motor is built top and bottom anyway. It would not have even made it to 600whp if it wasn't man. It would have made it to about 500 though before blowing up if it was bone stock.
@rhythmnsmoke ehh can't compare it to the evo because it is AWD. I saw a video were a evo made 1k AWHP. @ 55 psi. I'm not talking shit. I just stated that I hope the bottom end is built. I have a 98 cobra which is my current project. I hope to make 575rwhp on 14 psi with a built motor. I could make more at 14psi with a turbo but I'm going twin screw supercharged for the torque and the simple fact that it will be a street car.
@TheBopop There is an AWD tC out on the Time Attack circuits now as well. It makes 1000+whp. Same guys (World Racing) are the ones with the FWD tC that makes 900+whp and owns the Time Attack FWD Unlimited class in Redline Time Attack as well as the track record for like 10 US tracks. They are looking to take on the AWD records now with their AWD tC. But I was talking PSI wise you can't compare to other cars since they are completely different. But yeah this one is built motor as well.
@rhythmnsmoke block and all? How do you build the top of the motor? Maybe new h/c/i but that's not really forged. If the bottom end is built then you should be alright but still at 20psi or more I want more whp out of my motor
@TheBopop The block has pistons and rods (no sleeve work). Top (head) has valve train upgrades. Valvesprings, valves, retainers...etc. This guy built this motor all by himself. He is a Toyota tech as well. He is using the PTuning turbo setup but is running a 67mm turbo on it.
@TheBopop Because the head is built with the valvetrain components, it is able to rev to 7800-8000rpms and not blow up. Factory rev limiter is 6250rpm for a stock tC. You can increase the rev limiter to 7000rpms before the head needs an upgrade. I currently rev mine out to 6800rpms since it's all stock, I will leave it there for now. 20psi on a tC is a lot of boost as we make a good chunk of power at that psi range. You can't compare it to other cars. 25psi on an Evo would not make 600+whp
@hittersean14 No, it won't. It's an all aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners. 2AZ-FE is built like a tank, plenty of them over the 400,000 mile mark without rebuild in mid 90's Camry's. As long as it is built on the top and bottom end, it will take this boost as long as the block can dissipate the heat. If you know anything about thermodynamics, aluminum is pretty good at dissipating heat, but judging by your arrogant and derogatory post you're not intelligent enough to care.
@K31TH3R WOW. Arent you just a smart guy. Do 90s camrys have a big turbo and pushing over 20 psi. fuck no. and your right. I dont care. What web site did you just look that up on. Google. 400,000 miles over 15 or 20 years with your grandma driving is hell of alot different than all the boost building up in that cheap ass scion. i dont need to know thermodynamics to know that. You stupid bitch. I was trying to be nice that the car can actually do that. Fuck you, you dumb nerd. Do you even drive.
@hittersean14 Has nothing to do with being a Scion, it is a Toyota motor. Hurling insults like that makes you sound like you're 14, once again proving it's pointless to try and educate anyone on youtube. If you don't know anything about what you're commenting on, don't comment and you won't have someone calling you out when you're incorrect.
@K31TH3R Great comback you little bitch. I wouldnt understand compression and shit, but it only takes common sense to realize that all that boost is not smart to have in that car. Once again do you drive and what kind of car. Dont lie either.
@Jr4594 a real driver named Jessica huh? :P...wat do u do with that much horsepower on a daily basis besides go get groceries faster? and on a FWD? good luck....300whp and id call it quits personally
Are you still on the stock tranny with the fx700?

Sick car!!! But I would just leave the FWD street cars to Honda! I just do not see the point in throwing money @ Scion Tc!!!
When Hondas have been around for years have gotten all the bugs worked out and, the go fast parts for Honda are a lot CHEAPER!!

25.6 psi. That shitty jap motor will be blown in 6 months. HAHA. that motor cant handle that.
