  • what's different b/w (TIA/EIA-568B 2 CAT5e patch cable ftp) (TIA/EIA-568A CAT5 utp)

    somebody explain me

  • thanks for the info mate

  • can you cut 2 cables in half and then wire it the way a crossover cable is or do you have to buy all new wire

  • watch me test my homemade "curseover" cable....you fail

  • LOL this video should be called. HERE is my Cross over cable and I test it.

Because you didn't show the Crucial wiring that makes it a cross over cable and not just an ordinary RJ 45 cable.

You didn't show how to make a crossover cable!!!

  • because everyone that doesnt have a crossover cable does have crimpers, r45s network testers and bla bla bla bla. when you were at the store that sells those tools why didnt you just buy one? blah! turd. like you cant cut solder and tape. its not fcuking fiberoptic. dualtester... you choppy speech butt bandid. go make an ied.

  • hayz he was in a hurry ....

  • you were in too much of a rush

  • Why did you use 568a?

  • not explained properly. i think he is in rush.

  • can u get a 2 way splitter

  • do we need the color combination in the same sequence or we can change the sequence. Please elaborate the various probability of combinations!!

  • Woot, I was gonna make this cable but I didn't know I need special pliers. Can I buy crossover cables instead? I can' find them anywhere locally.

  • Go to best buy. They are more expensive there, but they have them.

  • I like how he COMPLETELY skips the part where the arranges the individual cables in order. And show's us the easies way.

Because the hardest par of crimping a cat5 cable is not memorizing or following the colour order, its the part where you have to arrange the cables and make them stay in that order while inserting them.

Now THAT PART is a bitch.

  • Is this for fucking real like come on he reads out the order but what side are we starting from

  • whats it for

  • Peer to peer network/Host to host connection.

  • those trans. rec. are old..i need to buy some new ones

  • cross over = 568A + 568B

    straight through = 568B+568B

  • thanks man

  • the Cisco standard is

    white orange-orange, white green-blue, white blue-green, white brown-brown.

  • his sayig for crossover not straight

  • no I'm talking to coldironhands1. says he can go from hub to hub and switch to switch with a straight. =S

  • Does this only apply to cisco stuff? I've gone hub to hum and switch to switch with a plain old straight through tons of times.

  • how the hell did you do that with a straight though???

  • should improve the quality of the video.

  • The transition is worthless. Ruins the video.

  • that crimping tool you use at 1:36, can we use something else if we dont have it?

  • No, you MUST use the exact same tool, or it won't work and you will explode and die.

  • Yeah, but those tools are a life saver you can get them at any office supply store like staples. Obviously make sure you don't cut any of the wires in the cable cable

  • haha kinda late, but thanks :P

i already got one about 5 months ago :P

  • great video, very helpful. thank you sir!

  • thanks for this vid. :)
