I'm the only one listening the first two seconds of all these songs, PAUSE, and open another windows of youtube to listen the long versions of those? Sounds goooooooooood
Hi all, I'm looking for a song that has a guitar intro similar to dire straits "So far away" and the chorus is something like "do you believe" or something like this i was very very popular in the late sixties or early seventies, I'm sure you might know it... help!!!!! thanks
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MUSIC LIKE THIS? as a 17 year old, i feel so embarassed to be the target audience of today's cookie cutter bull crap from the music industry, when i know loud and clear that this is the good stuff
Its a known fact that rock music hit its high point around 1971-72. We can always listen to this music anytime. This doesnt mean that there wasnt great music before of after. Were would we be without the Beatles? Many modern bands will take a riff from a classic rock song and make an album around it. They're lucky if we will listen to one song from the album. Back then we would listen the whole album and love every song. I always return to the music like on the video. Well done. And thanks.
@dp247555 That's kinda stupid... I wish I was born in the late 50's so that I could have been to Woodstock and then grown up in the seventies.... If you were born in the 70's you would have missed them!
To me this is the REAL end of the "sixties culture"- to me the song "American Pie" at the end here signals the beginning of the disillusionment '70s culture with a mix of "escapism" (Arena Rock, Funk, disco) and nostalgia (Linda Ronstadt, Grease, Happy Days)

I was born in the wrong era! God, I wish I could've been born in the 40's or 50's to be old enough to enjoy the 70's and 80's.

This is a good list, and I enjoyed it, but it explains a great deal about how you came up with some of the songs on your worse list.
