Always wonderful to see them come back. I had a case back in '92 off of Seldovia and he didn't make it. No gumby suit. We did CPR all the way to Homer, transferred him to an ambulance, but we heard he was DOA.
We were so close, we could have had him home for dinner. I still remember his eyes.
i live in kodiak as well and my family is the previous owners of the F/V Jade Alaska which sank not too long ago on the south end of the island in the Shelikof Strait. Does the coast guard document all of it's rescues? I'd like to see any footage of that if you could possibly find it. I've looked everywhere.
