  • By the way, that loudness of Tu-95 is a payment for a high energy efficiency of the engines - about 82%. If you put normal jet engines, it will flight quieter, but for a shorter distance. Soviets decided that plane which carries nuclear rocket does not needs to be quiet, - such rockets could be launched from a very long distance from the target, so they've put on turboprop engines on it.

  • I Love that loudy turbo props!!

  • All that means (a plane being loud) is that it alerts me quicker to go outside and record a plane flyover! :D

  • 1:04- 1:11 AAAAHHH!!!!! IT'S GONNA CRASH INTO THE B- 1:12 oh.... lol! nice video! well, next....

  • I live near this airbase and I'm proud of it! So haters STFU & GTFO!

  • I guess Russia is proud to have the loudest military aircraft that you can hear over 2 miles away in modern military history. The B-52 is waaaay more superior than the Tu-95 anyday.

  • @RottenAce In your dreams, maybe B-52 are better. But the real fact is that they are fully equeal in all aspects. Loudest...so what?

  • @RottenAce I'd imagine if you are dropping nuclear bombs, loudness isn't really a problem. nuclear bombs are quite loud. I think it looks cooler than a b-52

  • Way more adaptable? I dunno about that, the Tu-95 is used in multiple-roles that should make it at least as "adaptable" as the ancient B-52. Also you insist on that silly ridiculous argument of the engine "noise". Look pal, if you think that in our present-day world, the modern air defense systems rely, at all, on listening or hearing whether enemy aircraft might be approaching you, you live in bloody Jurassic park. The Tu-95 has the same speed of the B-52, and the range difference is marginal.

  • damn that thing sounds badass.

  • holy crap those are loud!

  • "brbrbrbrbrbBRBRBRBRBRB-WÖWÖÖÁÁÖÖÁÁÁÁÁÁÁÁÁÁ!!!", Ladies and Genlemen, that was the Russian Stealth bomber!

  • Russia really fucked up with this plane.Low amount of bombs lb wise.Loudest plane ever hell even a USN submarine could hear it.Not an ideal plane if you wanna sneak up on your enemies

  • @1bearcatf8f ..but if you have balistic rocket.., you don`t need to sneak up with this plain and ofcourse, this plain is maded for that plan.

  • @russerbgreek The B-52 was to be armed with ballistic missile's.But the B-52 is better suited to dropping nuclear bombs

  • @1bearcatf8f Low amount of bombs? You think it was designed to be a WW2 bomber like the B-52, capable of carrying tons of free fall bombs? You are wrong. Nuclear weapons and missiles were the main feature here. This Russian toy can deliver a super sonic anti-shipping missile from such distance none will see it, much less hear it, and that can either cripple or sink the heaviest ship in the inventory of the US Navy, or any other navy for that matter.

  • @vonkaunaz The B-52 is WAY more adaptable. It can carry missile's aswell as a far superior bomb load. Not to mention the TU-95 is based off the B-29 super fortress fuselage (WICH IS TRUE!) Not to mention the superior range of the B-52 and its far quieter.

  • That's not 300ft. That's 300m.

    Nice video, by the way!

  • WOW!

  • noisy suckers aren't they

  • The propeller noise sounds like Inception!

  • its way more then 300ft

  • Oh, it's so "epic and scary" Yeah right. It sounds like a grinder, you can hear it 50 miles away. Everywhere TU-95 goes, fire brigades stand at the ready, anticipating the inevitable crash of tupelov hunk-o-junk. You want a reason USSR collapsed, take a look at this ridiculous "airplane".

  • What a great design of yesteryear, and brought back in this time. Sounds like the

old B-36 with a deeper pitch sound. Can hear then both for miles. Thanks for posting it. AWSOME!!!

  • October 1962, somewhere over Canada a plane is flying south… Diplomacy has apparently failed.

  • B-52 with propellars, how original.

  • @145Slap789

The original design for the B-52 intended to use turboprop engines

  • @baraxor

    Bullshit

  • @145Slap789 1. I invite you to google the design history of the B-52, specifically model 464-35.

    2. Tsk-tsk! Language!

  • Much higher than 300 ft, my friend.

  • Two words slow and scary!

  • @nikoface

It's said to be the loudest aircraft in history. When it's props break the sound barrier, it isn't unusual for them to be heard by submarines WHILE UNDERWATER, and the crews of OTHER AIRCRAFT have reported hearing problems from getting close to the thing. That shit is loud all right. That's actually why I watched this video- I was curious about the tu-95's famous noise.

  • Luxury town houses?Lol. I'm glad that I live in America.

  • Was war besser ? Der TU-95 oder B-36 ? Warum wurden nicht in World War II oder des Korea-Krieges ?...

  • What an awesome aircraft. :D Rooskies really outdid themselves on that one. Hell, Tu-95s will probably still be flying when all Su-27 and MiG-29 variants have long been retired.

  • holy crap that things LOUD

  • Super

  • THE NOISE!!!!! Awesome sound

  • Sounds like The Second War bomber : )

  • Russian airplanes are so ugly robust which scare all the enemies to death, thats part of the reason why our army is superiour )))

  • Sounds awesome. never heard one before

  • Is this one a female? I hope so, because I want to have sex with it. If not, oh well; I'd go gay for a piece of this machine's ass.

  • Помню над москвой 3 шт ту-95 пролетало)) гул был такой , что не много уши заложило))

  • noisy...

  • sometimes I hear them from my house in Holland

  • @sportlife18 You do not come up with? Usually they fly up to 50 km from the border in international waters.

  • very loud indeed 14800shp kuzentsov km12 contra rotating props veryl loud planes in deed allied pilots comment on this when escorting these the only ohter loud plane is an An 22 which is the loudest commerical contra rotating prop same engnies and props 15.000shp both very noisy planes

  • Comment removed

  • That's a lot higher than 300'.

  • Красавец...

  • nice film, the plane is much higher than 300ft though

  • The engine sounds of pure win!

  • i bet no obdy complains obout the noise

  • great video and it sounds like a B36

  • Sure doesnt seem to want to go very fast

  • Goddamn that's loud

  • I wonder why this is counted as the loudest military aircraft on Earth.

    WHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

  • Very strange seeing props on a swept-back wing jet.

  • Cool! Thank you.

  • I have always wanted to see the TU-95 in person. I've always loved the look of Russian aircraft.

  • That's awesome.

  • Is it really true that the propeller blades break the sound barrier?

  • @Maxables yep 2x the speed of sound :)

  • id love to see one of these,But In America the bomber ive seen flying was a B-52

  • Im not a huge fan of Russian planes but this probably my favorite.

  • Wow! This plane looks like a B-52 with propellers.

  • @danf321 - I've seen some of the original plans for the B-52 and one of them looks a lot like the Tu-95. A little OT, the B-60 was interesting looking, it was a B-36 with 8 jet engines and swept wings.

  • Love this, looks and sounds scary.

  • Comment removed

  • wow russia looks a shit hole

  • @baldybarton10 No, that's Glasgow you're thinking of.

  • on wikipedia it says that this one is the loudest plane in the world!

  • fucking loud

  • Amazing. Well done for filming this.

  • I liked that, especially liked hearing the sound of the engines as it flew past. I'm glad you didn't put some music on instead, aleclitvinov. :)

  • I think the SU would be confused if they saw me cheering if I saw one of these flying over Edinburgh if they were still around.

    Me "Yeah!"

Bear Pilot "We don't come in peace"

    Me "Yeah"

Bear pilot "We're about to destroy one of your most important buildings"

    Me "Yeah!"

Bear Pilot *Shrugs and levels the parliment building*

    Rest of Scotland "Yeah!"

  • @asifiwould2

    "Yeah!"

I hate politics. They are all a bunch of A holes.

  • @asifiwould2 there still around they use them as cruise missle bomber

  • @asifiwould2 Maybe they could continue on and level our congress...

  • Wow thats a loud plane.

  • Well, I'd certainly know the Russians are coming if I heard that noise haha

  • @mr1nsanity Yeh its sure loud, however it would never be anywhere near its target. It would launch its missles at a range of targets from a very long way off and turn for base. Thats why with their range they were so deadly. Today they are still very good at what they do. Old plane with a lot of high tech stuffed into it, like the B52.

  • Excellent video, thank you.

  • That was epic and even scary!

If I have lived in Cold War,I would shit my pants so hard that my intestines would be at my underwear.

You guys from Europe and US are blessed to see an military aircraft with ease.

Here at Brazil is quite hard to find one,and usually always are the trainers from our Air Force.

I once saw a C-130 dropping parachutists at an exercise when I was passing on a road.

  • Ahh, thanks for the sound- I'd love to see the Bear at an airshow and hear one in person- that roar must have a low end to it that you can feel!

  • what an amazing sound. great shot by the way.

  • Absolutely classic! Love the sound of the Bear, nothing like it!

  • Comment removed

  • Pure Russian Cold war music machine... Tu-95..

  • @87boombox иди на хуй!=)))

  • The most awesome sound on earth, especially when they take off.

  • Engines sound similar to the An-22's.

  • That's a loud plane.

  • one of the coolest airplanes ever! my god, if that's what it sounds like on approach with gear down, i can't imagine what it must sound like on TO and climbout! crazy how much it does sound like the B36 with 6 props but less than half the HP.

  • One magnificent plane! BTW, one of the early prototype designs on paper for our B-52 resembles the Tu-95 very strongly.

  • Absolutely amazing aircraft!!

  • bombs away !!!!

  • i love this sound

  • dope

  • kuznetzov nk-12 and its 12000hp are teaching us doppler effect.

  • that sound is just perfect, and the silhouette looks so scary :)

  • great video

  • if you want to see the landing:

    watch?v=9LpAEU9_ZOo

  • @aleclitvinov hi alec brilliant video.do you ever see the 1u-160 ever take off or land near by?

  • @scwarzewaffe85 Sometimes (not often) they land in Ryazan for maintenance, and I see them flying over my head just like this Bear.

  • @aleclitvinov thats pretty cool man! you must feel very priviledged or very burdened to see them all the time,i live next to edinburgh airport so i sometimes see the eurofighter typhoon or the panavia tornado's fly in.however due to the backward nature of the british goverment we have no bomber's like you'r bear so only fast jets for me sadly.cheers for the reply alec!

  • @aleclitvinov Get video of it!!!!

  • GREAT video!!

  • that must sound so cool, never heard an airplane with counter rotating props or w/e you call them, must be loud though lol

  • DAMN! thats loud...i can tell u now this defenitly wasnt built for stealth missions.

and no one has to reply saying "of course its not cuz stealth wasnt around in the 50s"...i know. im just say this cuz its LOUD AS HELL

  • @BRIANROX1

Yep, it was (and is) so loud that the americans nicknamed it "Bear" lol.

  • @Paulo412349 ive even heard its so loud our subs can hear it. you know ur plane is to damn loud when subs can pick it up

  • The sound reminds me of the Convair B-36, and the C-133. All swing large props. The Bear does with contra rotating.

  • @tboltjohn

you're right it does have that drone that the C-133 had.

  • Nothing like a russian plane continuing to proudly flip off the superiority of jets!

(It goes 500 mph, as fast as a commercial airliner...)

  • Good posting, enjoyed the sound effect with birds

    chipping away in the distance...

Many thanks for that short clip.

  • When I was younger I had the joy of hearing really old airplanes in flight as they took off from my town's local airbase. Oldies like the P-51 Mustang, AT-6 Texan, DC-3, PT-17 Kaydet, B-26K Marauders, Douglas DC-4 and DC-6, Constellations, DH-110 Vampires, F-4 Phantoms, B-66 Destroyers (these two courtesy of the US Navy).

  • Comment removed

  • it sounds like a f****** loud plane

  • Hence why it was nicknamed the "bear"

  • Thanks for a "real life" look and sound of a TU-95!!

  • When the british phantoms used to intercept bears out over the north sea they used to be able to feel the vibration from those incredible engines inside their aircraft-amazing,the russians certainly make impressive aircraft

  • You are a very lucky guy!

All I hear from the airport by my house is a few Allison T-56s from C-130s and P-3C Orions (next to the Kuznetsov NK-12 engine, my favorite turboprop engine ever!) And the occasional Pratt and Whitney JT8D-15 from Purolater's 727-200F!

  • I also make custom soundpacks for Flight Simulator 2004 portraying the sounds of real engines and right now I am working on the Kuznetsov NK-12 and Allison T56 (or 501-D13/22 for L-188 Electra and CV-580/5800) engines. Check out my videos and please don't mark this as spam!

  • Wow!! I hav'nt seen a 727 take off from SFO in ages..The last ones I seen was about 10 years ago and they had hush kts.

  • Yeah, you'll see the 727 here everyday at CYYT, in fact I saw it earlier today when I was coming home from the gym. I think two different kinds come here, the regular 727-200F and the 727-200QWF (The version with winglets) I cannot recall if the winglet one is an "RE" (JT8D-217 same engine as MD-80s) or not. But I know for sure the non-winglet versions have JT8D-9s or -15s. And these are all unfortunatly hush-kitted, and are as loud as regular planes like 737-700s and A320s. :(

  • That sucks about the hush kits. As a kid growing up in the 70's and 80's and my fathers friend living just three blocks from the edge of the runway and directly under the flightpath. I can say that I loved that deafening roar those 727's used to make. I can remember those 737-200's and DC-8's stretch 60's being real loud too. All these planes that are out now are boring. No sleek exotic styling like the 727, not to mention they are quieter than a Toyota Prius. LOL!!

  • Haha, that must of been awesome! I am only 15 years old so I have never really experienced the noisy sounds of old, non-hushed, smoke producing, low-bypass, jet engine powered airliners like the 737-100/200, DC-9, 727, 707, and DC-8 and what not. My favorites are the Pratt and Whitney JT3D, JT8D, and the Russian Soloviev D-30KP (for the scream this engine makes). I really wish I could experience old jets in person. But as for the newer planes, I do still like them too like the A320s, and CRJs.

  • Here in the US (I'm assuming thats where you reside), 727's were the standard in domestic travel. The last non-hushed 727 I seen here in San Francisco Airprt was a DHL 727-200F in the late 90's.That noise was music to my ears!! I'm sure if you go to some third world country, 727's can be found with non-hushed JT-8's. In the early 80's 747-100 and 200's and 747SP's would take up just about the entire length of SFO's 12,000ft. runway to lift off and would climb at a much slower rate.

  • haha yeah. I'm in Eastern Canada actually. And that's true about the 3rd world country thing, Saha Airlines (from Africa I think?) still flies Boeing 707-300s with JT3D-7s and there are still cargo operators with DC-8-61F/62F/63Fs and what not.

  • @adambot3000 - I still see an UPS DC-8 come into Pittsburgh every so often.

  • @NowhereMan1966 Oh really?? I thought UPS retired their DC-8s

  • @rare12inchsingles - I remember flying into (from Pittsburgh) and out of SFO on a 727-200, that was in January of 1987.

  • Dman that plane is flying slow

  • vepohe holodnoi voiny)))

  • apprently those kuznetsov engines were so loud that during the cold war us subs could pick up the noise of one flying overhead o.0

  • hey, great video;) do you live near by Ukrainka or Engels airbase? Greetin' from Poland!

  • It's Dyagilevo air base in Ryazan.

  • Его рёв даже в подлотках слышно, На пенсию пора. Даешь Ту 160!

  • watch?v=-_XSC0GK9QQ

Speaking seriously, most Russians don't want to destroy or weaken America, that's a myth. On that day I was at the university, and the guard was watching the news when I passed him by. When I realized it was not a movie I went to a hospital and gave my blood because I knew from the report that our government was going to send planes with humanitarian aid. In fact I had to wait a little because I wasn't the only one willing to do that.

  • @aleclitvinov Don't worry, there are some enlightened Americans that don't think of Russia as the "evil empire."

  • lol u stupid

  • I like myself when I do something as stupid as that

  • i replied to u? i meant to reply to 'notEisiger'. probably hit rong reply button

  • This is probably the most spectular video of the Russian Tu-95 I ever seen and heard.

  • ants on the skin...)

  • Holy crap that thing's loud. Awesome plane though. I love the Russians ingenuity.

  • Of all the foreign aircraft in the world, the Tu-95 is my favorite.

  • great sound and qualitiy of video .......i felt like during bombarding :P

  • супер видео!! спс Земляк!

  • Fantastic sound!!!

  • What a sound!

  • I LOOOOVE the sound of those contra-rotating turbo props!!!! awsome!!!!

  • that's a beast
