@mjluver2000 I have two parrots that like only me and try to bite anyone that gets near me: Avis and Frostie. Gracie will go to anyone and never bites. Corkie will go to anyone but only when she feels like it. She doesn't bite either.

@katiecutiepie14 Umbrella cockatoos always dance like that. There is no teaching involved. They have to be supervised as they like to chew. If you get a handfed baby, you can train it to not get into stuff that it shouldn't. They can be loud, especially when they feel like they are being ignored and want to get your attention.

Someone gave Cookie to me and I immediately placed him in a good home. No, he doesn't pluck his chest. Cockatoos have a lot of dander that makes them look unkempt. (The more dander, the healthier the bird. The look like someone dusted them quite thoroughly with a light gray powder.)

In my opinion, all Umbrella Cockatoos dance. It's part of their instinctive behavior. The problem with them is they can be really loud! Yes, they do dance for sure and the same way pretty much. Check out all the other dancing Umbrella Cockatoo videos.

African Greys aren't notorious for being good dancers, unlike Cockatoos. I didn't teach Frostie, Avis or Cookie how to dance. They just do.

I've spent a number of years around a lot of Congo African Greys and I've yet to see any of them dance.

I'm sorry, I can't make any suggestions. Bird dancing has to come from instinct I think.

Someone gave Cookie to someone who gave him to me. I had him for a few days and gave him to a friend.

Cockatoos are noisy and I was afraid of him! The reason both former owners gave Cookie away was because he only liked them and attacked everyone else. Cookie does the same thing to the friends of his new owner. He's nice then suddenly he'll bite.

So, I know what you mean! If you aren't able to enjoy Pippen, I suggest finding a new home for him.

I have an umbrella, and that is a common problem with male umbrella's. Luckily, our male is quite well behaved, but in any case they can still be dangerous when hormonal. Be cautious when you have him around anyone else, but still give him your attention. Try to get someone who knows about birds to spend time with him also, and play "pass the birdie". It's tough to break bad habits, but it can be done with patience.

That's too bad. After 20 years of having Frostie as a pet, the former owner suddenly developed a life threatening allergy to Frostie's dander and ended up in the hospital at least twice. That's why they couldn't keep him any longer.
