I could have sword I've seen this same idea from a tv show before. I think it was called the Outer Limits. It's a show with different stories for each episode. For one ep., it was the same thing, the neighbors thought that the "new guy" was something bad 'cuz they were told an ex-con was moving in. The husbands has gotten all crazy and, finally, chose to kill the guy. Turns out, the "new guy" wasn't an ex-con 'cuz they got the wrong info; the ex-con was actually in another city/place.

Ok...when the boy "ran away", where did he go?

Im confused...because the film cuts from the mother and father talking to the investigator about the missing child...to where the father is running throughout the house looking for the child while the mother is across the street by the pool with the drowning boy.

The timeline really confused me. The father was in setting A...while the mother is in setting B with the child. Why would she be across the street while the father's at home?

@Paperhouse81 *SPOILER ALERT* if you realize that he is a Theorist so in order to show his confusion at the moment when his friend was "watching the game" it had to jump from the Dr Office to her looking for the boy in the house...to her calling the father to HIM going crazy (panic) to her in the back yard with her son and the "neighbor". Remember the father suspects a lot of things that arent a fact. When he is stressed he CLEANS. I think this move was so brilliant i had to watch it twice.

@Paperhouse81 I had to watch it two time to UNDERSTAND the movie. Remember when Eric LaSalle would say and do certain things... we ASSUMED it was for another reason when it was all for that ONE PURPOSE. I dont want to spoil it for others but He had to expose the truth in order to BRING order to the community. "it takes a village to raise a child". Thats his MAIN focus.

Don't waste your time on this movie. Believe me, the trailer looks a whole lot better than it actually is. It is slow moving and makes little sense, I really liked the actors, but they deserved more than the script they were given. It's a stinker, as far as I'm concerned.
