Awesome video! If you have some time, please check out my final project from film school, a sci-fi drama entitled "NUMERICA" inspired by Kurt Vonnegut's 2 B 0 R 2 B.
It tells the story of a young couple struggling to have a baby in a world where overpopulation is rampant. In fact, for every child born an adult must volunteer to die.
Every time I watch your videos, it makes me want this camera more and more... It seems like people are starting to show the world... THEIR world! and I love that! Keep up the magnificent work, and cross your fingers that I save enough to start this wonderful art :D GOD BLESS!!!
This video is more proof there is no other place like New York.
This reminds me of once visiting New York, as soon as I arrived in Manhattan on a Grey Hound bus from Toronto, just seeing a Brazilian lady play one of the most beautiful original songs (Bossa Nova/Jazz) I had ever heard in my life and I had no clue who she was.
When you are in New York you understand where Miles Davis, Bill Evans, John Coltrane and so many others I haven't mentioned must have got that feel and sound from.
Solid video. Did you shoot in black and white as the color profile or did you originally shoot in color? Looks great though. I have been trying to do something similar in DC
An inspirational video. My 7d is on its way. I have been wondering the same thing about cutting between shots while keeping the audio rolling. Is there someway to separate the audio and video? are you moving really fast between locations?
Hi Mike, what software do you use to play the .MOV clips? When I run the .MOV clips in my Windows machine using Quicktime player, there is noticeable choppiness and lag on the vid..
I am thinking about buying an 7d, what type of len do I need,I am mostly making short films, weddings, and sporting events. Also what type of external mic would be good.
I think its mostly the camera. But its better because its not another one of those videos where moron 7d owners take random footage and then add some music over it. This is actually kind of interesting to watch, as I have never taken the subway, and I live in the suburbs, its something I dont see every day.

how do you transition video with audio?? For example, from 1:17 to 1:18 where you move closer to his face, the audio is seamless. How do you do that?
ginnni 1 year ago

The street talent...the urban location...the small return for a big effort...the B&W look....you nailed it dead on, Mike!
