This movie is so wrong on so many levels; if its interpretation held true to the books I could forgive the plot differences, but this movie butchers the book and its message. Its only redeeming feature is Leonard Nimoy.

It is always crap when you read a book first and then see the movie. Happened to me many times with things like "Papillon" "One flew over the Cuckoos nest" "Midnight Express." Almost always disappointed. In this case haven't read the book, but the movie seems like just another Hollywood crappy sci fi..

What is Free will? Free will is the act of making a conscious choice without any external forces acting upon it. One may easily argue that these individuals have free will. People develop their personalities through the environment which they are exposed. In our society our personalities are developed randomly by entropy. Brave new world they exercise control so one develops psychologically into the desired personality. They are free, and make decisions based on their beliefs, just like us.

@Not2Sane the people of Brave New World are not free, because they have influenced them already since they are children, so they've already had external forces acting upon their decisions, just in a more discreet way, they are not free because the government conditions them into being what the governments want them to be the society of today is a little more random because what happens happens there is no one there to condition you and you can freely experiment what you want without restrictions

having said that, ecto-genesis/eugenics would be essential for my own personal utopia.

Utopias are subjective. Different people have different Idea's of paradise. I personally agree that eugenics would be required for a stable utopia.

Well if you have read the book. You'd know that children were taught sex so they'd be sexually open. "Everyone belongs to everyone else". They did this to remove jealousy and envy from individuals. Their is nothing in the book about adults having sex with children.Their is absolutely nothing about pedophilia or reference to it.

By no means is this towards you, 7universos, but this movie is an outrage. It BARELY relates towards the book whatsoever, the ORIGINAL piece of literature. I find this movie thus far uninteresting and false. It's even worse to know that it starts off in the 5-6th chapter of the actual novel, which is actually aggravating. :[ It could have been so much better.

it's just based!!! so it means they took the main idea and made a film out of it. it doesnt have to adapt the book in exact the same as it is written. beside that fact, everyone knows that movies are always a slice plot of a book, not a copy. so watch this movie in silence or dont watch it at all if it really annoys you that much. thank you ;)
