  • During their first visit to the US, Keith Moon of The Who was asked if there was anything he wanted to do while he was here. His answer - I want to meet the drummer who played on Jan and Dean's "Ride The Wild Surf." He did get to meet Hal Blaine, the drummer on this song.

  • My dad listened to the oldies when I was a kid and he had a cassette tape compilation of the best surfing songs and this was on it. Brings back great memories. Thank you.
