@NoahRobinson07 In Australia, a green P means they have been driving for 3 years (if you include the learner period, which requires 120 hours and 2 years of driving to graduate through). A red P is shown the first year they get their license before they go to greens. I'm on my reds and I know what I'm doing, I wouldn't behave like that nor would I claim to be the best driver.

@NoahRobinson07 In Australia, a green P means they have been driving for 3 years (if you include the learner period, which requires 120 hours and 2 years of driving to graduate through). A red P is shown the first year they get their license before they go to greens. I'm on my reds and I know what I'm doing, I wouldn't behave like that nor would I claim to be the best driver.

@weazel970 What state do you have to have your learners for 2 years? In QLD, you have your learners for a minimum of 1 year because you have to do 100 hours, then 1 year of red P's and 2 years of green P's before you get your open license.

@BadLuqq VIC, most people get their learners at 16, unless they are lazy. You have to hold a learners for 12 months and do 120 hrs, but you also have to be 18 to go for red P's which lasts 1 year. The green P's goes for 3 years.

@BIGBRAVA I wouldn't say your a bad driver because of the indicating side of things. We have all at one point made a mistake on the road I myself have made a few. To be fair I don't really believe we have a good enough teaching of vehicles when we get our licence. For example in Finland they must complete a full advanced driving course to obtain their licence. Better teaching=better drivers=safer roads=win :) And less ridicule for P platers who are unfairly targeted in my opinion.

I mean accidents do happen, but, I couldn't imagine how it would feel knowing I have done something unnecessary to cause an accident and someone gets seriously hurt or, even worse, dies.
