Oh well, the only reason why I watch this video because I'm an alcoholic and I enjoyed living that life style, it may sound very sad for some people to understand, but quite true for me. Yes of course, I'm far away from Las Vegas, but it will always be mine second home-- home sweet home "Vive Las Vegas".
I cannot imagine being in love with someone and watching them kill themselves.. this movie was totally gut wrenching to watch. Cage is a tremendous actor.
Hey, i like your style...your not a hater, even if I say something you don't agree with...
A rare breed on the "hater-net"...lol. We're about the same age and I wonder what it must feel like to not be able to drink...? (From your perspective)...
No, it's not me, thank God. But God help those dealing with this addiction. However, having said this, not all of us who enjoy "the devil's water" are Ben.....
Wow, that's a sobering thought (pun intended). Thanks for clearing that up for me. I can't imagine drinking to that point - to a point where I can't get drunk anymore because my tolerance is so high, and yet my body is craving the alcohol. In hindsight, I suppose my comments were quite insensitive.
A "functioning alcoholic".....hmmmm, What the fuck does that mean? Really. Frank Sinatra drank 25 cocktails a day and lived to be 83.... Drinking (in moderation) is a WONDERFUL thing. Try it sometime....Just get your "buzzy-wuzzy" and leave it at that. I've got a buzzy now off cran & vodka. Yee haw!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Supertramp1966 - you can't get your "buzzy wuzzy" on when your tolerance is through the roof... thats the problem. Its a progressive disease that slowly creeps up on you. Ben probably needed 25 coctails in 2-3 hours to feel the same effects a normal person would need with 4-5 cocktails in 3 hours. The term "functioning alchoholic" is alive-and-well in society today... probably 20-25% + of drinkers today are "functioning alcoholics"...
soo true! @22reTOYOTA, me too, same experience , luckliy, same out come as you.. jesus when i look back, being a functioning alchoholic is indeed the hardest job there is!
I mean, really............If your a "functioning alcoholic", why would you stop? Your "functioning"..... and you've got your buzzy-wuzzy. A win-win... :-)
Lotta alcohol consumption in this downbeat but gripping film. But Nicholas Gage never orders my own favorite concoction: Vodka & Milk of Magnesia. I call it a PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER.
this movie is very very very sad... I feel very bad for Ben and Sera.. I hope after watching this movie, people can change their personal desires for alcohol.. please drink responsibly...
You have to be there to know what it's happening and even there you'll never know why you cant stop... is an illness from the soul.

no drinking is best for anyone,
i have had relatives that were alcoholics and i saw the destruction, it is an evil tool that can slowly worked to death if a person is not careful.
if a person does drink it should only be at home. but there better off not drinking at all.

This Movies sits in your system for a few days, I can't say that about many, but this one brings us to a very dark place and it's hard to get out.

So sad to love someone who has a death wish. In this movie Ben wanted to die from drinking.

I just remembered I was in Vegas when they filmed this. That whole section of the street was blocked off. Hmm.

Second that. Bad detective is a good second though. Very fitted to those type of characters. Wish hollywood offered him better roles.
