It demonstrates to both sides that people have the power, that governmental power is an illusion which dissolves the moment we refuse to support it. You don't know me. I have been an Anarchist for a long time and I have been involved in Black blocs in the past. My point was worded badly earlier. Destruction can only get you so far politically at some cpoint there has to be construction and creation. i.e getting involved in local communities and workplace organisation etc
