The ammo from mothership zeta is different... You can't use it with the alien blaster. Besides, mothership zeta gives you Captains sidearm, which is like 3 times better than alien blaster... Basicly does 60 dmg a shot and shoots 3 at once

You can find more alien power cells in a certain part of the wasteland it's like north of evergreen mills sort of close to fort bannister. They're in a crater guarded by enclave soliders. The crater is irratiated and the alien power cells are under a tipped over truck. Due to that, the firelance event, mothership zeta, and the original alien power cells found with the alien blaster, I have over four hundred alien power cells.

there is more ammo for this gun, you find some at the site of the crash and then also on the way to vault 86 (heading from vault 101 via where you find prime - just a bit further on) if i recall. it's an enclave experiment site. radiated crater with a truck at the bottom and the ammo on the ground.

Those people who watch this video and think "Woah, that gun is the shit." No, what the video shows is only what happens when you score a critical hit. Nothing special about that either, because they get disintegrated everytime you get a critical hit with the lazer/plasma weapons too. Any energy weapon, for that matter.

Disregard my previous comment. Just beat Mothership Zeta and finally got that gun. It has 100% critical hit chance. Meaning, it will always disintegrate on shot, unless against SMB. Note: I would NOT recommend relying on it, as its durability quickly depletes, and as far as I know, you can't repair unless you go to an NPC.

@bluekillsall SPOILERS: its haley, you just have to travel away then return to him and his repair skill increases by 5, it's either a glitch or maybe his memory returning?? either way if you keep travelling away and back and talking to him, it will raise to 100 repair (takes 10 mins), just save after each increase cos sometimes it resets, and although you only need to run a short distance away and then back, i would fast travel for the last one 97-100 cos its less dodgy lol

killing an enemy, and placing the Alien Blaster and 1-2 power cell on his body. You then break the other raiders weapons, and once one of them picks up the blaster, kill him and look at his inventory or sneaking up on one, pickpocketing his weapons and ammo, then replacing them with the weapon and ammo. He should appear to only have one, but take it back anyway, and look at your alien ammo. There should be more: usually around 10. ( this work best on reaiders) hope it help ^^
