i've seen this movie only a little more than a million times, and i literally know all the lines word for word, yet im still going to see this in theaters in 3D! :)

at 1:36 i can see rose standing up and jumping off the boat and jack calling her name and running to find her... then they meet again at the staircase and i start balling haha coz im such a sap
What broke my heart was the scene when the father said to his little girls, "This boat's for the mommies and the children. I'll get on the boat for the daddies." The girls were sobbing, and I just wonder how it must've felt to be lowered away, to leave your husband, father, or brother to almost certainly die. I can only imagine to have to say good-bye in such an awful way. I was a total wreck by the end of that part. Haunting, beautiful music.
@guguk2007 That scene is some of the best acting I've ever seen... Kate Winslet had to beg James Cameron to get this role, but no one could've portrayed her better. During the entire movie, she made me feel as if it were me that was on that ship fighting for my life and my love

It was just the way the iceberg scraped along the entire side, filling five of the watertight compartments. If the ship had made a head-on collision, they would have made it for sure.

There is a documentary on what exactly went wrong with the Titanic. Its Curiosity: What sunk the titanic? Really eye opening piece and narrated by Bill Paxton so it makes you feel like you are watching the movie.
I used to celebrate my birthday on April 15th because that is my birthday, & I was happy, but now I will honor Titanic on my birthday because April 15th is the day it sunk.
I love TITANIC with a passion. It's probably one of the best love stories ever to hit the big screen. Jack and Rose's undenying love really touched the hearts of the audience. The music is also so lovely. When I watched the movie, I admit, I didn't cry, but one thing's for sure; my heart sure did cry.
If they make one change to the 3D version, I'm probably not going to see it. All I hope they do is change the 2D to 3D & then do NOTHING else. You can't mess with classic, or the result is failure.

To most people this film is about two lovers and we don't much about them but the moment where Jack sees Rose not only does he see beauty but he can see someone who is trapped and then at the end when you see all the things Rose has done in her life, it makes you realise why Rose said 'He saved in anyway a person can be saved'
one thing i'll remember about this movie was the ship's eerie creaks and moans as she was sinking. Just imagine walking in a long flooded corridor with the lights out just hearing that non-stop. Urghh :/
All of those sound effects are made to let viewers know how horrifying it was for the people on board. I loved the sinking part because it really gives everyone an emotion about all those people who died with all the screaming and water and sound effects with the music in the background.
I just had no idea music could be so moving. James Horner is a genius, as well as every person who worked on Titanic. There is no such thing as a more beautiful movie. It doesn't exist. Thank you to the actors and actresses, who brought this movie to life.
Way better than Avatar all together! Better plot, acting, score, special effects (kind of), and amazing vibe the movie brings to people when they leave the theater

i prefer Titanic, its a CLASSIC movie! Avatar is "new school" and it doesn't seem to my like it will become a classic movie, i mean 90 percent of the movie is animated. plus, listen to this music! titanic was just all put together perfectly, but the story didn't really strike me too much. the only part of the story i liked was the actual people, like Smith and Murdoch. I wish they showed the captain at the end, when she dies and goes to the staircase. it was an interesting story though. :)
@moviemakertunes It is the highest grossing film of all time. Whether or not people like it in the future it will be remebered. Even if only for its pioneering intot he field of 3D.

I kind of like the animation however, but whatever, I completely understand your point most of the stuff in Titanic is real sets and props etc.. they haven't made movies like Titanic since LOTR ROTK, after that it all went digital.
@moviemakertunes they did show the captain in the end. he was standing in the top of the stair case with the others just before the movie ended. he was the last to clap for jack and rose.
@Marine2480 and it's that bit of detail I love the most. It's minute things like that which make the movie even more amazing. It paints a picture of how much of leader Captain Smith was by leaving him to contemplate the beautiful situation before clapping. Another little detail is how Brock Lovett is the only one not crying after the flashback involving Rose letting go of Jack ends, it goes to show how he seemingly cares more about the necklace in some senses, but that's just my opinion lol
the kids in the boat were made in the movie on an actual story taken from a girl whos last memories of her dad were looking up at him as they were lowered into the ocean. So please remember that. She unfortunately wasnt alive to see the film. But almost every aspect of the film was based off of real hand eyewitness accounts. FYI

What's wrong with liking both Titanic and Avatar? They were even both made by the same guy. Plus, you can't really compare movies of two different genres.
I don't think Titanic is better. Both movies are freakin awesome, they are tied in my book. If i had to pick one, i would have to say that Avatar has a notch of awesomeness above Titanic, so I would have to pick Avatar

@MegaEing dude you can't even compare Titanic and Avatar...Titanic is based on a true story with actual historical facts and a true love story. Avatar is purely fictional, all cameron did was literally take the script from titanic and modify it. Avatar has the same base story line as Titanic. And how can you compare the biggest box office of all of film history to another one who features blue people in trees? Titanic is a classic. you can't compare classics.
@xxbloodcrossxx I'm a huge Titanic fan and I would choose it over Avatar any day, but I thought the Avatar storyline was much more about when Native Americans were forced off their land as opposed to this.
The film was brilliant. I reluctantly went to see it... And then went back and watched it again a few weeks later!!! Great film and james horner's score just sealed it; a gifted composer who captured the essence and emotion of the film to a tee!
i love titanic it is one of the best love story ever told. It made me cry so much and i love the music. (i am not really a love story type girl but this movie is the best) and it has really good actors in it

i prefer Titanic, its a CLASSIC movie! Avatar is "new school" and it doesn't seem to my like it will become a classic movie, i mean 90 percent of the movie is animated. plus, listen to this music! titanic was just all put together perfectly, but the story didn't really strike me too much. the only part of the story i liked was the actual people, like Smith and Murdoch. I wish they showed the captain at the end, when she dies and goes to the staircase. it was an interesting story though. :)

@moviemakertunes It is the highest grossing film of all time. Whether or not people like it in the future it will be remebered. Even if only for its pioneering intot he field of 3D.

@xpo50 yeah you gots a point, but if i watch avatar it makes me sick cuz of all the animation. literally sick, like a bad feeling in my stomach. kinda like a bad car sick feeling if you know what i'm sayin' i just prefer Titanic it was an EPIC movie :) i guess people like avatar too though, we all have our opinions. i just prefer TITANIC

@moviemakertunes Oh I understand completely, and Titanic is the better movie. However if I am in a mood for something light I'm not gonna turn on Titaanic, (well maybe the first half), you know what I mean?
I kind of like the animation however, but whatever, I completely understand your point most of the stuff in Titanic is real sets and props etc.. they haven't made movies like Titanic since LOTR ROTK, after that it all went digital.

@moviemakertunes they did show the captain in the end. he was standing in the top of the stair case with the others just before the movie ended. he was the last to clap for jack and rose.

@Marine2480 and it's that bit of detail I love the most. It's minute things like that which make the movie even more amazing. It paints a picture of how much of leader Captain Smith was by leaving him to contemplate the beautiful situation before clapping. Another little detail is how Brock Lovett is the only one not crying after the flashback involving Rose letting go of Jack ends, it goes to show how he seemingly cares more about the necklace in some senses, but that's just my opinion lol

the kids in the boat were made in the movie on an actual story taken from a girl whos last memories of her dad were looking up at him as they were lowered into the ocean. So please remember that. She unfortunately wasnt alive to see the film. But almost every aspect of the film was based off of real hand eyewitness accounts. FYI

@rldash When Jack tells Rose to get into the boat and she does and you see the girls crying and waving good-bye to their dad and then Rose jumps back on the ship cause she couldn't part with Jack.

I don't think Titanic is better. Both movies are freakin awesome, they are tied in my book. If i had to pick one, i would have to say that Avatar has a notch of awesomeness above Titanic, so I would have to pick Avatar

@MegaEing dude you can't even compare Titanic and Avatar...Titanic is based on a true story with actual historical facts and a true love story. Avatar is purely fictional, all cameron did was literally take the script from titanic and modify it. Avatar has the same base story line as Titanic. And how can you compare the biggest box office of all of film history to another one who features blue people in trees? Titanic is a classic. you can't compare classics.

@xxbloodcrossxx I'm a huge Titanic fan and I would choose it over Avatar any day, but I thought the Avatar storyline was much more about when Native Americans were forced off their land as opposed to this.

The film was brilliant. I reluctantly went to see it... And then went back and watched it again a few weeks later!!! Great film and james horner's score just sealed it; a gifted composer who captured the essence and emotion of the film to a tee!

i love titanic it is one of the best love story ever told. It made me cry so much and i love the music. (i am not really a love story type girl but this movie is the best) and it has really good actors in it

Really guys, stop making such a big deal over Avatar. even though titanic was beat by it on the highest grossing list, still titanic is way better than it statistics wise, just think, avatar will probably be beat in a year or two, yet titanic was on top for over 10 years
