thanks for video... i need help. is there an easy way to find out where the file location is for a patch? when i transfer to other computers my patchs unlink as they are in a seperate folder, now i am trying to relocate them and struggling a bit :(
Im not sure where these sounds are that you put in the folder?? I got the download version. Do they come with it? When I click on browser theres nothing in the window.
Patch files contain information. Velocity,mapping,portamento,LFO,envelope settings...... ect..ect...ect..... It knows where the .wav files are located too. Patch file is like the brain. It relays information to the program. It tells Pro tools to go get this sample from this folder & play it back at this level with this information on this key.

IM NEW TO THIS, BUT I HAVE REASON 4.0 & PROTOOLS M-POWERED 8 . I ALSO HAVE REASON 4 REFILLS. CAN I LOAD THE REFILLS INTO STRUCTURE FREE?

@916dpsmini ok, so, the files that you inserted into structure,.....are those wave files you bought separately? or are those stock logic wave files?

They are .wav files (Samples)
& Patch files (Information files)(.exs)
Structure reads the .exs patch file.

Patch file will not work without .wav samples. (on sampler instruments)
Instrument would not load and play without patch file
The .wav files were sampled from the workstations, then set up to work in programs like Logic or Reason ect...
