There was a small lake where I grew up, dozens of big white swans used to build nests there. I've been bitten, chased off and humiliated hundreds of times by them, but never once did I get injured. Nor have I heard of anyone being injured by a swan.
Don't spread unwarranted fear, it just leads misunderstandings and the loser will always be the animal.

Swans cannot break your arm and they cannot bite you as such, they don't have teeth, just a serrated edge on their bill, it doesn't hurt. This swan probably wanted food, and thought the person was giving it some and couldn't understand why it couldn't get at it.
Guys look at the glass door it's covered with bite marks of a swan. That can really damage the door ofcourse. It feels worse if ppl are bitten by swans by their fingers.

It wasn't even fluffed up, as they tend to get when angry. Yes, swans are very territorial, and can easily harm people, but that doesn't seem to be the intention of this one. Let me tell you exactly what happened. The swan had taken up residence at the end of my friends garden. It had been living there for several weeks and had made this patch of ground its own. It was not encouraged to be there, it was not receiving food hand outs and it certainly wasn't being abused.
Firstly - the annonimity of the internet means you have the bravado to start throwing insults around, which makes you nothing more than a coward. Would you act like that face to face, i doubt it.
