that sound means that your chinchilla is annoyed and that they feel harmless and defenseless according to this website for chinchilla sounds. If you go on there they have examples of chinchilla sounds that you can listen to and explanations for them.
My Chinchilla often does this at night. Because Chinchillas are nocternal (Sleep during day, awake at night) So they are more active at night and want attention but i dont exactally know the meaning of the squeeking...hope this helps :S
idk i heard a little noise but idk if that was you making a kissy noise at him or if it was him. the other one i heard just sounded a little annoyed. mine does that if i wake him up and he was sleeping or something. was he asleep? hope to have shed some light. he's adorable though
sounds like a squeak to me. my cat did that when i squished her too hard.
