@StrawBeriLuv95 well next time u decide to write obnoxious messages u should think first because she is showing you how to FIT a saddle not put one on for riding...btw i wasn't trying to be mean and i actually thought is was funny when u was like little furry skin lolz
@TheLoveOfHorses1 ahh I know lol I love their little furry skin =] its so soft! & yEaaahhh I kinda got confused o.o but I know people who ride w/o a saddle pad & I know the effects on those horses. I kinda just took out my anger on the video, which I though was telling us to ride w/o a saddle pad. Sorry for the confusion looool
@StrawBeriLuv95 Dont panic, she is showing how to fit the saddle, not tack up for riding, she isnt going to ride after this, just showing an example :)
geez people have some common sense! this video is to show how to make sure that the saddle fits the horse, this isnt a video on how to tack up, and place a saddle for riding! calm down.
@StrawBeriLuv95 this is about fitting a saddle, not how to tack up therefor, just to fit a saddle, no saddlepad is needed as you would take the saddle straight off after. this is just to show you how to know if the saddle fits the horse.
@XluvwillneverdieX Dont panic, she is showing how to fit the saddle, not tack up for riding, she isnt going to ride after this, just showing an example :)
when i try to put a saddle on without a pad my pony FREAKS out and tries to bolt SO anoying, i have to have someone hold her, it cant just be the cross ties!!
she should use a saddle pad. i sometimes use a thin saddle pad and then this gel pad so that all of my wheight gets balanced evenly. i have balance issues. some1 should tell her to use a saddle pad. i ride western also and use a saddle pad then. then only time i dont use a saddle pad is for bareback (duh!)
@ThornyBlackRose1775 stupid. If you listened to the video, you'd realize that she said she was fitting the saddle and didnt want the saddle pad there because it might make the saddle feel or look to big. It's not like she actually got onto the horse and starting jumping without a saddle pad. It doesnt matter wether your ride english or western, they both have saddle pads.
It is absolutely not possible to cover saddle fit in 1:12. There's FAR more to it than was covered in this video.
Also, it's unlikely to get a perfect fit on any horse, and proper padding can make a saddle that's "close" fit well. My saddle is a tad too wide for my horse. With a thin blanket, it will bump his withers. With a 1" wool/felt pad, he is happy and comfortable.
ur the idiot! when you're trying to fit a saddle u dont use a pad! i well fit saddle shouldnt need a pad..the pad is strictly for keeping your saddle clean! duh!!!!
what ur suppost to put a saddle pad on it or it might rub her coat...

no saddle pad ..... ? icky saddle sores :(
still a very instructive video, although I ride western :)
rodeoqueen1300 2 years ago 2
ur always supposed 2 have a saddle pad. that could harm ur horse.
horselovers1998 2 years ago 2
not necessarily, some of the show horses (the poncy stuff, not dressage) don't wear saddle pads. Tho, personally, I wouldn't ride a horse without one
Squaccy 2 years ago
ya i have never ridden without one. i didnt know u could ride without one.
horselovers1998 2 years ago
I know, thats what I was saying. I guess english is different than western, but I wouldn't even dare ride without one.
like i said in my comment, saddle sores suck :)
rodeoqueen1300 2 years ago
