  • i found this video with the tags: "fuck monsanto"

    hehehe good job

  • Excellent start on your garden. If you plant it, it will grow! And they will all come over for the dinner feast.

  • I sign the above, Wild Bill Big Ox

  • During the Presidential Campaign of 2008,the Obamas promised to put in a vegetable garden at the White House. They made this promise because of online petitioners and all.Now that they're actually going to keep their promise and put a vegetable garden in one of the lawns at the White House, new online petitions are going around, trying to stop them from doing that.(the garden will ruin the historicity of the lawn)The Globalists don't want us growing our own food.---

  • we're supposed to be buying food from overpriced supermarkets, who get it from underpaid farmworkers. If the Obama example(and yours)help get more people to grow their own food, then so much the better...And,yes,straight to hell with Monsanto. There's rocket fuel in baby food. And the FDA wants to decide how much rocket fuel in our food will be an acceptable level there-of...How 'bout ZERO rocket fuel in our food?...

  • Yeah well, Obama also appointed Tom Vilsack as the US Secretary of Agriculture. Vilsack was the founder and former chair of the Governor's Biotechnology Partnership, and was named Governor of the Year by the Biotechnology Industry Organization, an industry lobbying group. So yeah good choice.

  • Thanks for sharing, Dave. Not bad. I agree with the jiffy peats they work easy. Only planted the onions, potatoes, garlic, parsley, other stuff started indoors.

  • mmm.

    fresh garlic.

  • Awesome, Hooligan! Love to see this, homie! I can't wait until I can have an outdoor garden. I'll have to wait until I relocate...don't think much will grow out of the arctic tundra. :op I have been trying to put together some indoor garden plans though. Been getting good advice from YouTube peeps on that...looks like you're getting plenty of that good advice yourself! Pretty sweet resource this YT shit turned out to be, eh? BigRespect!

  • hell yes!

i've gotten so much good advice, my head is swimmin.

  • "oh shit i forget what their called" lol

  • i think they're just called "deep plugs" but i'm still not fer sure.

  • mmmmm worms

  • packed with nutrients.

  • This why they keep us buisy swatting at maintaing the basis of living healthcare, shelter, two parents working outside the home....distraction. If it wasn't an outright plan to keep people constantly in parell for the basis of existence the bastard ruling canabalistic class has captalized on our blindness and numbness for so long the think it is there right. And how we've been hobbled into that position.

We will either rebel inteligently strategically or be smothered in our ignorant servitude?

  • oh, man...that last line says it all.

    who's for ignorant servitude?

    ...anybody?

    ...well, they SAY no.

  • sooooooooo gooooooood... and good for ya, too!

starts seeds now folks! even if you're not sure where you'll plant em. you'll figure some thing out.

i'm a beginner gardener and now i've begun i'm always going to garden. it's fun! it makes sense anywhere people have back yards, but in cities, too, my dream is to live somewhere like oakland, rigging up greenhouses on city roofs and gardening in community, empty lots, medians, anywhere fruit and flowers and vegetables can take root.

  • hell yes. i think urban permaculture could be a major "deciding factor."

  • you def have a nice varitety goin...

    nice compost and worm farm.

    great vid.

  • hopefully, i'll be turnin some of those worms into a freezer full of fish.

  • just got 2 ft of sno today after it was 60 degrees yesterday....

i will be starting my first outdoor garden soon i hope.

  • IF! ,Just half the population did what you are doing, we all wouldn't be in this mess!

Congratulations on being the elite in self sufficiency.

  • that's what i'm trying to say.

it cracks me up, that americans celebrate independence day.

  • very cool, it is time to plant for sure. peace

  • Nice step up.

  • thank you, lots.

  • Grow yur own, yay!!! More people should grow their own food!!

  • those who don't, will wish they had.

in my (not so) humble opinion, anyway.

  • fucking great!!! hope you have a fucking great garden success!!!

  • thank you.

    we're trying.

  • My gram had just one fig tree and it bore fruit, but it was in Az, so there could have been another tree nearby. They were black figs & very sweet. Also had pomegranate, grapefruit & dates...breakfast right off the trees...MMmm M

    pe@ce

  • i'm hopin i just need to keep it watered during the spring and summer. (til harvest)

  • right off the trees. weeeee!!!! :D

  • Excellent man. You know I watched a DVD I got free with my heirloom seeds. The creator which haooen s to be the seed supplier made little gardens everywhere. His main goal was to hide them from anyne that would try to take your shit or just destroy them. I think its good you got stuff spread out (or at least it seems that way).

  • gardens-everywhere, would save a lot more humans than gardens-here and there.

  • i ♡ u hooligan. =)

  • Looks like somebody's been busy.

    Respect.

I look forward to seeing the the progress.

(Anybody down for a giant pumpkin growing contest?)

  • maybe.

our friends got a hella-mega-punkin patch a-growin. we got none, though.

  • Thanx for sewing the good seeds of info.....Namaste!

  • trying daily, brother.

    pe@ce

  • This is amazing.

  • thank you, man

  • Figs are cool. I wish I had one. I have an avocado tree though but I do not think I will ever see fruit from it before I move. I might try to take it with me though since I planted it... sort of. *grin*

I really just threw the pit out into the yard and it grew there. =)

    - Heidi

  • ooooo!

i wish i had an avacado tree. guacamole is the chit.

  • BB gun might work but the thing is if there is one bunny there will be more. Best bet would be to get some urine scent of a bunny predator. You can find it online and then just sprinkle it around the garden.

Another longer term more expensive option is a dog. I got our dog for my son but nothing comes in this yard anymore except birds, snakes and a stray cat now and then. =)

    - Heidi

  • we got 2 weinerdogs, but they're runners, so the get the chain every time they go out.

if my last dog was alive, it wouldn't be an issue. he was a shepherd-coyote mutt. best dog i ever had.

never had to leash him--even when i lived in the city.

  • thank you. thank you. thank you.

i'm getting so much good advice...i can hardly believe my eyes.

    namaste

  • i probably won't close it, till i get "disappeared."

  • thank you.

  • Awesome man!!

I need ta get a place real soon where I can get some plants into the ground asap :) I would like to have our garden in the ground by mid april... it just snowed at 1,000 feet here today :) uhg

  • it's HOT down here.

people were complaining about the "cold snap" while i was wearing shorts.

  • You are so fucking awesome Dave, Well done!

  • thanks, brother.

    you are an inspiration.

  • chicken wire the whole garden, otherwise those rabbits are gonna eat better than you will.

    =)

  • i'm thinkin a BB gun would be cheaper, and that'd be a free meal, too.

  • lol probably, just gotta get up every hour to make sure you can pop em =)

  • oh yes.

  • yes, indeed.

  • Aw let the rabbits munch!

You're lucky to have the land for this...

  • you've never tasted my stew...

taint my land...belongs to a cat in NY.

  • Hi mistaspot. You can have a garden no matter where you are. I once lived in this tiny apartment with an even tinier yard. I had 23 tomato (cherry and regular) plants, 17 bell pepper plants, and 12 jalapeno plants plus some assorted flowers. They were all in pots and all did quite well.

Even if all you have is a balcony off an apartment you could grow one or two things. =) They have hanging tomato plants now that hang upside down as well as tomato trees. I want a tomato tree. =)

    - Heidi

  • Even a window shelf (inside & out) if you lack a balcony!

  • If that is sweet corn, you got to watch the fire ants. They love sweet corn.

  • hmmm.

we have several anthills, but i dont think any of them (that i've seen) are fire ants.

    tanks for de info, bro.

  • If step on the hill, a little of it, and they come out lokkin for somebody to kill, they are fire ants. LOL

  • are they the red ones?

  • Yup & if one bites you, you'll know why they are called FIRE ants.

  • After a week or so from planting corn I plant a climber such as peas or beans next to them. Also everywhere you plant food plant Marigolds. They keep bugs away. In fact plant lots of flowers as they bring birds that eat worms. Don't worry about your crawlers, they'll be safe underground.

  • intercropping is essential. the three-sisters method sounds like one wicked example of that.

im actually starting up a garden in a matter of weeks from now, can you suggest something rudimentary?

  • potatoes and onions grow pretty much everywhere.

  • What Dave said & garlic.

Been thinking about what the best advice I could give for a while. Here goes:

Walk around your hood & find a gardener. Offer to labor for free. You'll get more cuttings to plant & advice based on locale than you imagine. Also extra food as we always seem to grow more than we can eat or give away!

  • most excellent advice TC :)

The Marigolds bring in the bees around here too :)

I love the lady bugs too :) their my buddies :) they love to eat the aphids :)

Hope all is well with you TC :)

  • holy crap!!

    noted, and being planned for.

    thanks MUCH, my man.

  • Many years, many gardens tells me follow the moon. Root crops (turnips, radishes, peanuts, etc) best planted when Moon is full to gone. Fruits, beans, & everything that puts out up top from new Moon to full Moon.

Mike look hard for heritage seeds. Beans, corn, peas, radishes are easiest.

    Star, them lady bugs rule!!!!!

Chickens loose in the garden once plants are taller than them & before the blooms come out. Fertilizing bad bug eaters.

  • Nice one dn ... you've encouraged me to get out in the garden and do some digging. ^^,

btw ... tomatoes love whatever the hell is in rose feed.

  • cool deal. thanks.

i'm hoping to hook up this sandy soil, a bit.

  • You must live down south it is still to cold for watermelon planting here.5 gallon buckets work good for porch tomatoes and also for peppers!:)

  • 5 gallon buckets work good for tomatoes and peppers. You must live down south it is to cold for watermelons here!

  • 1 hr from the florida border.

    (in AL)

  • My dad loved to grow things to eat.

  • i can't express the difference in taste and nutrition.

  • awesome dave. investing in your future right now eh?

we have "blight" in the soil here that attacks tomatoes particularly. when it rains the soil splashes up on the plant and the growth of the dreaded blight ensues.

  • we just have real sandy "potash" soil. gimme a couple years (and a bunch of manure) and i'll be stickin em in the ground.

  • thats a great garden dave nowadays everyone needs a green thumb to survive. by the way can i have some tof them collards lol.

  • right on, man.

you can come down and show us how to prepare em. i've never raised a collard in my life.

  • your name is dave? that dont seem right.. you are def a greg.

  • david nathan=dn

  • im growing my own victory garden also this year .if u know what i mean.

  • sweet...er, sticky, i mean.
