mate u dont know anything about PvD then!! he never plays a whole tune live! he only plays certain part of song live on his keyboard, mostly the main uplifting part of the song!
in this song, he only plays the main piano bit live on his keyboard!!
I find it amazing why people think this is fake and question PvD's ability, the man is a musical genius his talents arn't just in the Electronic genre but span through many for example rock, classical and many others listen to his productions and you can see the influence that these other genres have in his work.
Definite fake. Sounds exactly the same as Lowland's 1998 version from the Classical Translations album (complete with violins which you can hear at 0:38)
Hi Guys, this is most definatly real as ive seen him perform close up many tracks live, the only thing that ruins this is the chavs singing "here we f***ing go"! go drink more beer and get down liquid night club.
hmmmm somehow i dont think he played this! hes a dj not a keyboard/synth player, feel free to check out the video of me playin binary finary in my studio and leave any comments and let me kno what u think to a "real" synth player doin binary live! ;o)
Ok I recant my previous statement. This really IS PVD playing. The audio doesn't match the video. But it's definitely him. Listen carefully. There are far too many imperfections for this to be pre-recorded.
i agree, faked but nice. In fact, many people think that djs 'know everything' but that is actually not always the case. There are, however, a lot of DJs who have had musical training which makes them able to *produce* good quality music. In PvD's case I see him more as a remixer and a DJ than an artist. What's next? Paul van Dyk playing the piano and singing on every song...
Dude you can't be serious. Have you listened to any of his CDs? He produces tons of tracks. He writes a lot of his music. Now I don't know about this one (looks kinda fake to me too), but PVD is a great musician!
I was there....magical !

You cannot play that riff on a 2 and a half octave keyboard (live) ;)

@Spiralking1998
y cant u?
djdon4u 1 year ago
@djdon4u check the riff out via midi files etc... or working it out yourself - the low notes and high notes are spread out over 4 octaves.

u keep thinking that then

@djdon4u well clue number 1 for the technical music heads - as they'd be able to hear this:-
The riff is (left hand) octaves and the (right hand) 3 note chords rising over 2 octaves.
2+2=4 octaves at a squeeze.
Plus actually writing the track gives me that little bit of an edge :P
