@Funkredible Chaka would've sounded great in the 80's but the drugs really took toll on her live performances.what makes her recordings so great from that time was that she was challenging/proving herself.

@Funkredible In terms of studio recordings the 80's showcase her best work, but live i'd say the 90's/00's.

Come on and SANG momma! You know...One of our YouTube friends who's a Chaka fan said that Chaka doesn't sound like she did in the 80's..Kinda like hating you know? But, in my opinion her clarion voice has gotten STRONGER and clear! This is just BEAUTIFUL ...Thanks for the post!
