  • Judge, don't forget: Marijuana is more harmful to your lungs than cigarettes. And it is equally as harmful as alcohol, just in a different way. As former detox nurse and certified alcohol and drug counselor, I have some experience and education here, not to mention personal experience from my own misspent youth.

  • @ziglet53 Go look up 5 scientific studies and any of the comparisons of illegal drugs. You know how cannabis is "equally as harmful as alcohol", that is entirely your opinion, because I think most people think that not BEING KILLED by the drug is probably most important and in that respect cannabis is the best drug and alcohol and tobacco are actullay the worst. Cannabis has never killed ANYONE EVER and alcohol and tobacco kill over 300,00 peole PER YEAR in the US ALONE.

  • @ziglet53 Also you pulled this:

"Marijuana is more harmful to your lungs than cigarettes."

directly out of your ass, so show one study to back up your claim.

  • I have news for you Judge, forget about Boehner because Bachmann and DeMint aren’t like us. If you believe they are, you should check your libtertarian virtues and principles at the door of Fox studios prior to entering. At that point, if you are still so insistent on providing soapboxes to religio-statist-war-cons, your next responsibility as host should be to appropriately change the name of your show to “Freedom Wash”.

  • @jeffersonianideal That seems a bit harsh. Even if they are not ideal and/or libertarians the steps are still in the right direction. Even Ron Paul who wants to abolish the FED and the IRS knows it can't happen overnight.

  • @MaurDL A bit harsh? Check their full voting records then get back to me with your findings.

  • @jeffersonianideal I never claimed to be a fan or supporter of either. Nor did I say they adhered to libertarian virtues or principles. My point was merely that the Judge still serves an important function even if it involves dealing with unsavory characters in the process. Are the Judges points and message any less true or relevant because his guests only agree with part of it?

  • @MaurDL Here's Ron Paul's take and that is more than adequate for me. From Lew Rockwell: "The DC attempts to co-opt what good there is in the T-parties will not be supported by Ron Paul, who will not join Michele Bachmann’s pro-police state, pro-war, pro-empire, “limited-government” T-party caucus."

  • @jeffersonianideal And I respect and admire that stance. I guess I'm just saying I'm not as hardlined about expecting everyone to be up to Ron Paul's level. Hell, even his own son doesn't embrace libertarianism to the same extent, so is that really a fair standard to hold everyone to? But either way, I understand what you are saying, so I'm content to leave it at just agreeing to disagree.

  • @MaurDL The only real litmus test will be the future voting records of these Tea Party candidates. If constitutional liberties are watered down in the name of politics as usual and bipartisanship, these new members of Congress will have given America nothing more than what typical democrat and republican politicos have done for decades. Diluting the principles of liberty and personal responsibility enough, only assures that essential freedoms will not be restored but instead, further eroded.

  • @jeffersonianideal Mmmm, I'm not really disagreeing with what you are saying. I agree we should not compromise on our principles, however I agree with something Ron Paul said along the lines of 'compromise towards furthering liberty is fine'. As in, restoring some liberty at a time is better than an all or nothing ultimatum. For example, Paul and Barney Frank could not be more opposite, but that doesn't mean they can't work together on some things like more transparency to expose the FED.

  • @MaurDL Clearly no defender of freedom should trip up anyone who is working towards the same goals. The difficulty is whether or not we trust the republicrats and democans to be forthright and follow through on their promises. Dr. Paul's relentless pursuit to expose, audit and eventually end the FED is a perfect example of political backstabbing. Both Frank and Dennis Kucinich were on Paul's committee then voted against the audit. Keep your friends close but your enemies even closer.

  • @MaurDL As far as His Honor and Freedom Watch is concerned, there is no denying that his show has changed dramatically since it debut on Fox Business when it was an internet only endeavor. If you can find the early episodes it is worth re-watching as a reminder of just how uncompromisingly trailblazing the show once was. Watching the incessant kowtowing to his C.L.I.N.O. (constitutionalist libertarians in name only) guests is becoming an increasingly bitter pill for true libertarians to take.

  • @jeffersonianideal I don't know, I still see him regularly putting people to task for their stances on war, the police state, the constitution, etc. He even recently gave a voice to the oft neglected/shunned 911 truthers. So I guess I'm not convinced his engagement of a questionable crowd has corrupted him or the integrity of his show that much?

  • @MaurDL I applaud Judge N. for his determination and ethics. I do not know of one other former member of the judiciary that has rallied so courageously and ardently in favor of libertarian principles. I would go so far as to support him for political office, even the presidency. But some of the kowtowing and rhetoric is troubling, especially the pandering to the religio-war neocons and C.L.I.N.O types such as Beck and Coulter. Libertarian viewers must be vigilant and not sin through silence.

  • Is it just me, or does Judge Napolitano look like a werewolf?

The werewolf said: "A government powerful enough to take away a substance as harmless as pot is powerful enough to take away your favorite substance too!"

Yeah. And a government that is powerful enough to stop murderers from murdering is powerful enough to murder you too. Meaningless drivel. This is why those libertarian anarchists lose every election.

  • @MaryWaterton Good thing government has completely stopped all murder and can ban guns which makes people safer too... Oh wait! That doesn't happen.

I'm very glad that our founding fathers lost there elections too!

  • @goodatbasebal are You full of liberal crap,oh wait. obama will be voted out in 2 more years.

  • @gnome33 What are you talking about? I think you either misread my comment or I hope commented by accident.

  • @goodatbasebal I must have misread Your comment, sorry about that.

  • 1:05 - Napolitano got the backstage crew laughing.

  • Do not merge the two houses. That's precisely backwards, and will destroy liberty.

  • @josda1000 Something to think about. This can go against us one day

  • @josda1000 I don't think they suggested that. Just a caucus, which is a group of people.

  • @MooseOfReason Understood. But this is the government that we are talking about. We already know that the two houses meet on many occasions (and were barely ever meant to, at the founding of the country), but this is just a misguided attempt at making the people feel better about their country, the most powerful and violent empire the world has ever known. I don't like "caucuses" already... but a caucus that is constructed of men of each house? Bad move over the long term.

  • these two are the establishment but we may need them for their seniority

  • Too bad Jim DeMint took that $1,000,000 from Wall St bankers.

  • @davids11131113 He voted against the bank bailout, so apparently those supposed donations aren't affecting his votes.
