  • THE COOLEST HIPPIE I'VE EVER SEEN

  • I have some Basswood guitars and I never had an issue with any of them denting! ofcourse of u hit it hard on a mic stand any guitar will get some sort of damage etc. Thx

  • Rob , I've just got one question , is it true that basswood is really fragile (I've read ir dents easily) anyway thanks!

  • Hey ya a lot of questions on this one. It is not a venneer it is a maple top for sure.

The endorsement deal is a complicated one. But if you go to Ibanez.com they have some information on the site. I have been endorsed with Ibanez since 1994. I was playing Ibanez guitars and loved them. I started sending my demos to them and kept them up to date on what I was doing etc. I ended up getting an endorsement and it was reduced cost etc. Then as our relationship grew the endorsement progressed.

  • How do you get endorsed by Ibanez to get a custom made signature guitar? and how does it work? isn't it like the higher the popularity of the musician they get the guitar for free. and the smaller bands/endorsers get like half price or summ.. ???

  • holy shit theres a ghost behind you! 2:36

  • Nice sticker LOL...

    The Guitar Looks So Stunning!

  • What is the settings on your amp ( trebble, bass, mid?) if i may ask becasue it sounds very good.

  • Man, that tremmolo sound reminded me of Dime, GETCHA PULL!

  • is the curly maple a veneer?

  • Sounds killer.

  • Wow. That's got a PRS like tone (but more for metal). Awesome!

  • wow is that really rosewood fretboard? looks very dark like ebony \m/\m/

  • Hello there Rob.. I like your guitar.. very nice LACS.. especially the control layout.. just like the JPM layout & the RG520IX.. the Steve's Special & the Air Norton are cool too.. did you get your inspiration from JPM?.. I really like how the layout lines up.. very nice..

  • i went to your site to check out that plate thing you have on the bridge, but it seems i can't find it. i'm about to purchase an ibanez rg350mye and i'm used to resting my hand on the bridge (les paul player). thank you and nice guitars/playing.

  • hey Rob, I'm really curious about the Steve Special... I heard it's a perfect balance between Bass and treble with a lot of the mid scooped out, but is this sound preserved when you reverse it, only the bass is increased?

Thanks, and you are an excellent guitar designer :D

  • How do you get endorsed by Ibanez?

  • @7SethMurrant7 become a big enough name. endorsers want people that will get their product out there. they want someone that people will know and want to be like. its not always how good you are but how popular you are. being good does help though. practice your techniques, but also practice good song skills.

  • how do you desighn your own guitar

  • I have been endorsed with Ibanez for over 15 years!

  • awesome... ty 4 sharing

  • Great sound! Great guitar! Reminds me of Ibanez JPM and Ibanez USRG 30.

  • 3:10 ?

  • Cool Video! Do you think those pickupswould sound good in a mahogany thru- neck rg for instrumental rock/shred type music?

  • Yes these Dimarzios would sound great in that guitar and is fine for the type of music you do..

  • Comment removed

  • how the hell did you get endorsed by ibanez?

    that is insane!

  • What are the benefits of putting the Steve's Special in reverse?

  • A different tonal aspect.

  • @SteveBrownOfficial In what way?

  • Depending on which way the pup faces you can gain or loose bass/mid/treb as Rob says at: 1:56.

  • They should make these available to the public.

  • Rob, I recently picked up an Ibanez RG 2550z Prestige - basswood body, maple neck w/rosewood fretboard. I'm trying to decide b/t Steve's Special/AN, SS/PAF Joe, or Mo'Joe/PAF Joe. I play for my church - contemporary Christian, but am a metalhead and blues guy. Luv 80's metal, rock, some classic rock, nu metal, etc. I respect your judgement and talent. Suggestions? I need versatility, but also want to "bring the heavy" when needed. Thx. Rock on!

  • @jc5150dc I would do the steve special in the bridge for sure. I love it!

  • do you recommend a steve's special or a super distortion for an ibanez s 540?

  • that guitar raped my ears, and the speakers to my computer!

  • I love the sticker on the back! I Lmao

  • thanks rob.. that guitar has a great sound :)

  • good job!!!!!

  • You've got nasty hum. Earthing?

  • the reverse pickup is really a innovative idea....next to the sliding pickup

now that thinking outside of the tonal box :D

  • Is that your Sig. Model?

  • Awesome tone. Beautiful guitar.

  • i live in ny do you give lessons

  • i would like a hamburger ^^ :p Great ^_<

  • I would like those Ibanez to be available in Italy as well.

  • Dang I wish I lived in NY so I could go see you!! great LOTW I like these Ibanez demos so far. BTW Dave's band is pronounced Jayss :)
