It isn't fake, it's glitch eating. Basically you would get to low hp, then wait for Jad to attack you. Before the hit reaches you, you heal, but the damage dealt by that hit is how ever much hp you had left. I used to use this glitch in Fist of Guthix all the time, and it took Jagex a while to fix it.

@currymunching It was a glitch and shortly after this was released (about a week after) jagex changed purple sweets to work differently. Basically the damage done by Jad is calculated when the attack is launched, with the max hit being what your hp is since you're below 97 hp (Jad's true max hit is 97). However, damage has already been calculated before it is actually applied and hits me, so if I eat a purple sweet before it hits, it heals me a little - leading to 1s, 2s, 3s. Not an RSPS idiot.

yeah the range attacks are already calculated before they hit the player and if the player is at 23 hitpoints an attack cant hit 24, so he eats a purple sweet after the hit is calculated but before the attack actually hits him

Wow does no one know how the mechanics of Runescape work? When a ranged attack from a player or monster is fired, the damage is already calculated before it reaches the player. The damage is maxed out at the player's current health, so if he eats before the projectile hits him, he won't die. You used to be able to never die against someone using range or a long animation weapon but I don't think this is the case anymore so this method is obsolete anyways.

So if you have 5 hp, it can hit up to 5, etc.. and if you eat right before it did damage, you would have more than 5hp, thus making your invincible.
