@MovingUpp horsepower is completely irrelevant, the thing that matters the most for such big ships is torque and diesel engines are known to give you vast amount of torque.

@cockercane What they ment is : "Protect [ your working] environnement [from freaking explosion]. No smoking" My uncle works on oil tankers and they wear jumpsuits with rubber buttons to prevent static when they are on deck because its not safe. Imagine a cigarette.
