  • Sparkling water has aspertame and that is probably worse for you than caffeine. Just saying.  I had the same problem too I got off aspertame and now am getting off caffeine.

  • i started mixing seltzer with different 100% juices half and half. Its like fruit soda and you can create any flavor you want. It gives that satisfaction when you take a drink that is what make me want soda. so now i dont need it. and water sucks especially when it comes out of the tap with all contaminants in it and chlorine and tastes like pool water

  • The challenge with drinking water out of plastic is that the plastic leeches into the water and the plastic molecules mimic estrogen in the body. Also, tap water and most cheap bottled water does not have the greatest standards they need to abide by.....so its usually has crap in it like heavy metals, chlorine, floride etc.......and it's almost always pretty acidic unfortunately.......so, best to get a good alkalizer that filters all the impurities out too.

  • @Mark94i .... seeing as most "energy drinks" are huge in caffeine... i'd imagine there's something wrong " wit dat " .

  • Im trieng to get off caffeine so far from the day i posted this comment i have not drank caffeine for a week. I have been getting the twitches, loss of hungar, dry mouth and a few other symtoms . so I think caffeine is extremly under rated to according how bad it really is.

  • im addicted to caffene, but i cant qut because my job (table busser) is quite demanding, i work all the shit shifts and get tired after the first 4 hours. if i dont perform well i dont get paid. quite simple. i thought if i regulated it to work only it would work but than i couldnt function with a massive headache, than i started caffene pills and at one point january of 09 it took nearly 1200 mG of caffene to get me buzzed. pretty bad so i quit it for almost 3 months, now its summer and it back

  • i been drinking caffine free coke for a whiel and maybe one caffinated drink a day and slowly quiting cause i quit once before also fruit juice helps me too

  • I'm on day 3 of the withdrawal headaches. Getting off caffeine hurts. I'm glad I'm doing it. Water is the way.

  • I feel like alcohol is easier in some ways to quit then caffeine. The reason is this. Ill drink say, half a 5th in a nite, and get really drunk, and if I drink within the next 2 days the next tinme I drink half a 5th I dont get as drunk. So it costs more money and I end up quitting, with caffeine its so cheap, i can basically get it for free and it seems like normal everyday, but it becomes a ferocious habbit. . Its harder to quit for me because its so easy to give into.

  • I live in Malaysia, I have a caffeine (coffee as source) addict in the past but I kicked that addict off when I took the coffee alternative such as lime juice, it taste sour, sweet(if added sugar) and could keep you awake, also rich of vitamin c. in food court it usually cost RM1.20-3.00 but in restaurant the price may vary. in Malaysia, food court is usually cheaper than restaurant. so far I stopped taking a coffee. if I'm driving long distance, I take'll lime or lemon juice to keep awake

  • sounds to me like u got more of a sugar addiction rather than caffeine addiction. i drink mineral water when i got craving for a soda but without all the sugary content

  • I got off caffeine by switching to green tea for a week, then to herbal tea, then to hot water with lemon. No headaches. It took about a week and half to regain my natural energy. Also crystal lite, diet sodas or anything that contains aspartame is poison. Poison as it will harm your body in a very bad way. If you don't believe me, do a little research on aspartame.

  • Crystal Light:)they come in so many different flavours,other wise water is way too boring!Also I've found when I'm out of that, I add lots of ice cubes,and slowly eat them as I drink the water.LOL It actually fills u up:)

    Since the start of my raw food diet, ive given up my MAJOR ADDICTION to Caramel iced cap supreme's from Tim hortons.honestlly I would have like 3+ a day.Now I only have a tea or coffee in the morning to wake me up.

  • I personally dont like milk so I have no idea. Like I mentioned I just started drinking the sparkling waters and it was an easy process after that.

  • If that works for you that is great! But, if you are realllllly addicted to caffeine then going cold turkey will lead to a HORRIBLE headache. I have headaches and migraines anyway, but when I tried to stop my caffiene I thought I was having a stroke the migraine was so bad.

  • I'm more scared of aspartame than caffeine.

    Aspartame contains methanol (methyl alcohol) which is metabolized into formaldehyde and formic acid. If you drink too much you could cause permanent irreversible damage to your optic nerves and liver.

    Well what I'm trying to say is be careful how much aspartame you consume because remember, methyl alcohol is the same stuff in antifreeze, and that is not good.

  • Even if you see my videos that Ive made today those 3 beers are still there. So yeah... I did say it with a straight face.

  • I like Coke, but I never cared too much for the caffeine. I drink about 3 per week, but never on days when I exercise. The main trouble for me is that often when I'm thirsty, I want something with flavor, not just water. Therefore, I go to the Cranberry Juice. It's healthy and tastes quite strong. It's kind of sour at first, but once you get used to it, it's a good alternative if, like me, you need something with flavor.

  • I actually dont drink those anymore. It was just the gradual process that I used. I usually drink water now but on the days that I feel like drinking something else its usually vitamin water or one of those but thats maybe once ever 2 weeks or so.

  • Thats great! Soda is such a staple in our marketplace it is hard to not only STOP it but stay away from it. I now have to ask for water on my sundays when I cheat because not only am I afraid to get re-addicted but all they have is soda and lemonade that is so sugar filled its just as bad!

  • I find Soda is just war on my stomach so i hit the water mostly. I bought a water cooler for my kitchen and its just so much easier now instead of going to the fridge for a soda i go to the cooler. and if i want flavor.... crystal light!

  • You've learned to listen to your body. You found a gradual strategy for weaning yourself from soft drinks. And you removed it from your house. You're a smart guy, Will.

    Hopefully, some folks will be able to employ your strategy; it looks very effective. Great vid. :-)

    You might want to try tea... in moderation. I mostly drink herbals, but a *little* caffeine once in a while won't hurt. Use stevia as a sweetener if you need one.
