  • Really? People are trash talking about a kid getting a ball from his favorite player (or maybe not favorite, but a player he likes). Seriously, the kid isn't even 12 yet and people make fun of him. Sad, sad world. That or they're ethier a bunch of Yankee fans jealous that Jeter and A-Rod are too selfish to throw their fans balls.

  • This still chokes me up everytime I watch it.

  • his dad right there is my old supervisor at work. LOL

  • The kid is 10 and that was his favorite player!!!!! Grow up with the asshole comments you post. Don't hate on a little kid who got a ball from his idol you ass!!!! Pretty sad people feel that way about a 10 yr old. Grow some balls! Sorry your life sucks and your daddy never brought you to a game!!!!! Congrats kid!!!!!

  • Lmfaoooooooooooooo this makes me die everytime

  • Good job bud :) enjoy your life

  • @phatcracker2007 i get the felling that you have lived a very disturbed life.

  • I'd be proud to have this kid as my son

  • Farva's#1. Farra's# 1

  • Beckett makes grown men cry with the way he pitches.

  • There should be more players like Josh.. Gesturewa

  • seeing that kid cry made me a better person inside, fdor that momen`t i was emotional and was teary eyesd just like him, no matter what happens in the duration of Josh Beckett`s career, he`s always going to be in my cool book, he was just lifted to another level, world wide, by that jesture, and oh, yeah, the kid helped too.......................

  • Really!! Some of the comments posted here are beyond cruel. This is a little boy who got a baseball form his larger than life hero, Josh Beckett. He was so overcome with happiness he cried. I guessing some of the cowards here would never say these things to his face.

  • Some of you people are haters why make these types of comments about a little ol boy . Why can't you be happy for him,are shut up.

  • One of the best things I have seen lately. The kids favorite player gave him a ball he will remember it forever. Its obvious the kid got passion for the sport so what if he cryed. I'm 34 and it moved me. It was nice of Josh Beckett. That's it just a nice moment. Sports need more of them.

  • the kid probablly wanted a donut

  • he told the kid "YOU DROP THIS AND I'LL KILL YA !" ....

  • For the love of god boy, man up already! He's way too old to be crying like that.

  • crying, are you crying.......theres no crying in baseball!!

  • there's no shame in crying.

  • I hope his enabling dad has signed him up for boxing lessons. You know he will get his ass kicked.

  • He's kinda big though to be crying. I am a 40 year old female and when I was a kid, big boys like that didn't want to be caught crying. I know times have changed, we're a touchie feelie society now, but heck, isn't he like twelve? I truly am happy he was given a ball by his favorite player, that was really nice of him (the ball plaer) to hand him the ball, and I'm sure he'll proudly display it for many years to come.

  • That's so freaking adorable. Until you're a dad, something like this wouldn't mean much, but to see your kid so happy puts a lump in your throat. So cool.

  • i feel happy for thee little autistic kid

  • @tali1542 Must have been special olympics night.

  • @phatcracker2007 We didn't see you there, so probably not.

  • @Frabffib That's odd...your mother didn't make the same observation when I was balls-deep in her last night .

  • He's not mentally handicapped. They interviewed him and his family later that night. Beckett is favorite player and he gave him a ball. The kid got extremely happy and emotional. Don't be such an ass!
