I have original film in VHS and I agree its so funny film. Many beautyfull airplanes too...AVRO ,Bristol boxkite,Wickers 22,Demoiselle,Antoinette and other...
I'm not sure if anyone else knows this, but would you believe that the P-51D had to have been going at full throttle, while the F-15 would have to be near stall for them to be so close? That's what I think anyway.
Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I had to work with the material available and apart from the British Red Arrows team the only other plane doing any interesting aerobatics was the MiG. However I do believe the the pilot was American. Cheers.
oh my god. ive seen the red arrows at the Isle Of Wight Festival. they were amazing. diving so close to the audience, loop the loops,so many stunts i cant remember many of them. it was a experience i will never forget. if u ever get the chance go and see them!!!
Für alle Flugzeugliebhaber ein schönes Vid. Sowieso tolle Filmmusik, aber auch eben guter Schnitt und Aufnahmen. Und vor allem nicht der Versuch, durch Crashszenen das ganze "lustig" zu machen.
I loved the way the characters in this movie were deliberately stereotyped. Had a great comic effect. Did you recognize the guy in the bell tower? It's Benny Hill.

I'm not an airplane person, but seeing that shot I assumed that was the point of it -- old and slow beside new and fast = wow.
