  • LOVE IT ALWAYS!!!!!!

  • I remeber 1 Summer in 97', Che Fu hasd a free concert in new Brighton, FriGGin BOMB Diggittty, AWESOME perfomer .... Still kick to his beats til this day... ( now 32 ) :)

  • your rite about if he was american he would be famous not sure why guys from other places in the world dont get a good deal i guess america has the power even in music small countrys dont have a chance not rite at all.

  • Che fu is still the fukn man proud to be a kiwi chur

  • And THATS WHATS UP!!!!! SHAME THEY ARE NO MORE!!!!!

  • i got to a free concert in munich and hear this killer band the first time 19 94 and was totally blowing away i like this band so much its a shame my cd got lost !!

  • Crazy I never knew Che was in this group until I reminisced of one of his songs n saw a comment on a youtube vid. Awesome mean singer!

  • love this waiata

  • This song is pretty decent but everyone should check out Like a Storms version of this song. It's great. Look up "Like a Storm Sitting Inside my Head" and I know you wont be disappointed.

  • @likeastormluver123 sorry dude still like this 1 better :)

  • @likeastormluver123 that song sounds beautiful if thats wot your into !!!! I prefer the cool flow with a bit of rythym !!!

  • @likeastormluver123 just listened to it. The lead singer has a good voice but I still like the original better! What country is that Like a Storm from anyway?

  • @andrewglover6 Obviously you are not quite the "Storm Lover" you claim to be! This IS the original song by a great Kiwi band well ahead of their time. Your lovers of storms have "covered" this track and done it no justice whatsoever! Numpty.

  • @Biteurarse I have no idea what you are talking about. I only listened to the Like A Storm band because someone mentioned it here. I didn't say I liked it. I said he has a good voice but it's no way as good as this original version! I was replying to likeastormluver123 comment. You somehow have mixed something up there Biteurarse!

  • @andrewglover6 mate this is the original this video is from 1993 or 94, YEYAAAH!

  • Saw this band in Auckland supporting Crowded House, they are amazing, totally amazing. Best live band ever

  • so great! But why is someone washing her hair all the way through?

  • more then 10 years one of the best bans in the world

  • Great song, one of the best songs ever! Makes ya proud to be a kiwi.

  • top song, even after all these years - true classic.

  • Its gotta be 1 of the best songs in the world

WTF is wrong with those 4 people?

  • First thing wrong with this video: It only has around 100,000 views.

Second thing wrong with it: There are people disliking it.

  • taste is in ur ass 4 people!!!!!

  • comon baby cook me some more toast : )

  • Internet connections aint not bad here ppl, depends on your local exchange. Back to the clip, Che & supergroove was a real good mix, still waiting for that reunion boys.

  • Comment removed

  • @taranakimaori1 haha word afta this comment make it 5 this song is av

  • Mean song Che Fu all the way

  • awesome song no doubt

  • Bassline rocks.

  • wow the memories......western springs college

  • i love this band so much!!!!

  • Kiwis seem to have a habit of producing original groups. Supergroove used brass instruments, unheard of at the time, no precedent in New Zealand for that at all, not in a pop sense anyway.

  • @peterrabbity What about Hunters and Collectors? Hardly a precedent for brass with pop, but Rap with brass? There's your precedent.

  • At a time when 'boy band' meant New Kids On The Block and Take That, New Zealand produces the best, funkiest and most talented, original 'boy band' of the era.

  • 333 ;o

  • haha he rocks! dr. smoothe

  • This is it. This is the business. Screw Fat Freddies, to hell with Savage. Supergroove is the truth.

  • It was better live. Louder and way harder. Che could pull this off live easy. People would go off and the stage would become a battleground. Dont be fooled by the radio friendly accent. I was there.

  • Check out the accoustic cover by "Like a Storm". Very good. It's on their Myspace.

  • lets say kravits sung this... it would be a instant hit n the states, uk ...etc . Nz 's music honestly needs to get out there besides that shit hole of a country Australia lol (gota feeling thel snatch the world cup right under our feet at the world cup final)

  • @hyndizzle Yeah so true. But here's the problem. Big country's don't like it when the little guy can stand up and rub shoulder's with the biggest. That's why they never aired Outrageous Fortune in the states, instead they tried to do a spin off which was fail. I read some reviews done by American TV show reviewers and they basically called it shit, when the truth be known. Same way Hollywood kicked up a stink and had a cry when PJ got to do Lord Of The Rings in NZ.

  • Blindspott, Shihad and Supergroove....Gotta love NZ aye

  • This man is a fucking awesome vocalist- if he was American, he'd be world famous and filthy rich and quite rightly.

  • @hammersmithdays the whole group would have been massive I think! They were a band before their time. Broke up too early! They could have been as big as Linkin Park! They were a band in the same kind of vain — mixed genres!

  • @hammersmithdays hmm kinda looks like ur tryna say he has to be american to make it? kind of disrespectful aint it

  • Che Fu deserves to be rated a lot higher than he is. Fantastic vocals

  • Just to think Che Fu is the only 1 to make it out of everybody in the group. hahaha who's laughing now BOI!!!

  • Just to think Che Fu is the only 1 to make it out of everybody in the group. hahaha who's laughing now BOI!!!

  • The only album I've ever heard by Supergroove is Traction. So I don't know them without Che...

Anyway, the album. It's like the orgasm of funk-punk-rock! I can never get tired of it!

  • che fu was the soul of super groove with out him there just another rock band I like super groove id love too see a reunion

  • They ain't shit with out CHE , he was Supergroove.

  • Man I love this song. Its so funky. Great intrumentals especialy the bassline and vocals.

  • soo many good times to this track

god che fu made this track awesome

  • A sad sad era when Che Fu was booted out of the group. Congrats on his success' though. A shame Super groove did not continue there success without him.

  • In exactly 7 days I shall see these boys LIVE @ HomeGrown in Welly! Cannot explain how excited I am, this gig for me has been over 15 YEARS in the making.

As a Melbournian born&bred, loved these dudes since I was early 20s, am flying from Melbourne to Wellington, obv. it's all my other fave bands as well, but it's all about the 'GROOVE baby!

If the 'Groove ain't comin' to Oz, Oz going to the 'Groove.

And I get to drink at Mighty Mighty, Southern X, Matterhorn, Good Luck, AHH it's been too long!

  • love the bassist!!!!

  • haha they cmin to mtwn

its gunna be soooo mean is the mis rockband playin lol!

  • they are cuming down to masterton for the summer hummer and im in it for my ameteur rockband from intermediate school

  • This is dope!!! It sounds like Lenny Kravitz. How old is this song?

  • 1992.

  • che fu went solo and is still going he made this band, they were a primo group thou, i member watching them live they were the shiz back then

  • Hensonlair, that's incorrect. Their label said they would be more exportable to america as a plain rock group, and che got kicked out.

  • Are you serious?! Is that really what happened? That plan obviously backfired then didnt it.

  • are they doing any more gigs after the big day out?

  • Yeah mate 14th March Homegrown Wellington. Along with the rest of NZ's best.

  • any gigs tho? i dont mean festivals

  • hell! where did you get this one? .. gosh i LOVE this band. saw it in a cheap (but coool!) speakeasy near my hometown called "zebra" in germany.

    thank you for this video.

did you know whats happend with this guys?

  • They reformed just over a year ago, are doing a summer tour in NZ and playing Big Day Out but I don't know if that's just Auckland or Aus too. They've written a couple of new tracks lately too.

  • I remember the first time I heard this song I thought it was the RHCP. Boy was I wrong.

  • Yeah, love supergroove! Saw that Kabanaz vid, was mint as.

  • Check out Kabanaz - Something Better... More Homegrown NZ talent....

  • Hello Allison! Hope you like the best of what N.Z. has to offer.

     Thank god the've reformed!

  • Has a real Lenny Kravitz vibe. Lovin' it. NZ music has just taken off.

  • Kia Ora from Amsterdam, this song is making me homesick! Kia Kaha

  • szkoda ze juz nie nagrywają

  • supergroove debesciaki kazdy kawalek jaki mają jest zajebiasz

  • What was the name of the music programme that used to be on NZ TV every week? I think it was on Sunday. There was a really cute lassie who was the presenter. I first saw this programme about 1995.

It was a great programme, and she was really yummy.

  • this cute 'lassie' is my aunty

    shavaughn ruakere from what now

  • Is that really her? Is she really your Aunt? I remember the programme would only showcase NZ bands. That's what I like about it. Although it did mean about once a month she'd have to explain to some daftie why they couldn't play any Radiohead.

  • nah that wasn't her. in 1995 Shavaughn would of been about 10 years old. I remember the show but i can't remember the name. It was hosted by the lovely Bic Runga. Only on for about half an hour on a sunday morning. The name is on the tip of my tongue though

  • I remember seeing these guys open for EMF in the Auckland Town Hall, when they were still mostly unknown. Even then you could tell they were a class act.

  • The drumer is my uncle!

  • lol I rememeber going to see these guys at the old Queensgate mall Lower Hutt way back when I was in College :)
