Graffiti is art. But art is subjective. Not everybody thinks your kind of art is beautiful. Maybe some do, but not all. And since graffiti is displayed in public places regardless of whether people like it or not, it is a selfish act. There is no freedom here because the only freedom you are guaranteeing is the freedom to your own happiness. In doing that you may be infringing on others freedom to clean public places.

well, most cities put up their own art in the city to beautify it, and it is paid for by the taxpayers- but they dont actually go to the taxpayers and ask them if they like the art or not. In other words, its going to be art displayed in public, legal, that looks like shit, and is paid for by the taxpayers. The only difference here is that the decision was made by some bureaucrat inside his office.

Listen, Graffiti is a human instinct. When you first get a coloring book and start coloring and you realize that the crayon makes a mark, you don't keep coloring in the coloring book, you start writting on the walls, thats what i did.
