  • Ah, this song defines it all, a better time when morals mattered!

Today's kids are lost in the electronic highway.

The future is uncertain but will be based on the morals of the past!

  • If I get enough thumbs up to get to the top I'll instantaneously sprout incredible muscles and have women crawling all over me!!!! lol

  • the best quality version in all youtube. this sound is amazing.

  • A #1 hit for The Righteous Brothers in February 1965. And don't forget, 2 weeks from tonight, the Grammys. Should this song have won a Grammy? Feel free to reply.

  • @LollercoasterLULZ Hahahaha last place I was expecting that comment

  • Real music sung and spun on real records that you had to make an effort to keep clean and free from scratches, diamond needles care when putting the arm down slow, and never take your record to a party.

Great times, great music..digital any one???

  • 74 people have lost that loving feeling

  • geweldig!!!!!!!!!! gelukkig terug gevonden.Fred

  • the guy who wrote the song is now in jail, for murder

  • @MrNicolas2121 Phil spector never wrote this song. billy mann and cynthia weil did. Spector produced it.

  • Kinda sucks...dull, boring, and old... it was recommended to me, thought I'd enjoy it, but no.

  • I sing that song at shower... Remind's me Top Gun... Remind's me my old days... And I love it. Cheers for the REAL music.

  • @cowman602 not good at all she didn't even show up to class this whole week and today was the last day she really became stuck up the last few weeks I opened the door for her and she didn't even look at me or say thank you. Funny thing was I didn't like her until she gave a smile idk I guess it wasn't meant too i'm pretty bummed about it because she was very uniquely pretty and had a very pleasant smile

  • @RockenDokkenlover91 And the result?!?

  • @kavadidle I already said it down there VVV lol i'm gonna go after her though once school starts again

  • @RockenDokkenlover91 Oh, sorry, I didn't see. Anyway, good for you man. Keep working at it!

  • @RockenDokkenlover91 Did you do it?

  • @RockenDokkenlover91 did you sing this to her?

  • @RockenDokkenlover91 do it like tom cruise in top gun :)

  • This is the later remix. On the original single the violins are suppressed in the mix, especially in the sequence "cos it's gone gone gone and I can't go on". Seems that that version is only on the 1965 original single, unless it's also on the Back To Mono collection.

  • despite what phil spector did.

he was a great Song writer/..^^

  • In my view, "Top Gun" and Tom Cruise ruined this song and piggybacked on the genius of Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil and the (now jailed) Phil Spector. This song is an all time classic, simply borne out by its huge sales, numerous worldwide Number Ones and most played track of the 20th Century status. So ironic in that it is like Freda Payne's "Band of Gold" in that it is really about a relationship imploding...anybody has been separated or divorced will surely understand it!

  • Soul ! Super singing !

  • i love this song

  • Excellent sound!

  • After posting this to my Facebook, I was asked by several friends if I was nostalgic....For a time period when I didn't even exist yet.

I said "No, I just know what real music is."

  • @simplemindedwolf "no ive just seen top gun"

  • Hey Top Gun is on ! ! A M C !

  • Its great how a song from so long ago still is so great

  • I think I like the Halls & Oates version a little bit better. But this is still excellent.

  • Songs of today has the theme "In with the bad, out with the good." This song is is one of the best ever. What do we have now?? Jonus Brothers and crap.

  • @SERGY888888 It's gone dude if you where there you had it if not it's gone ,gone, left in memorys

  • Beautiful song. Produced and co-written by a murderer.

  • @TheAngelosShow ---yeah, well guess who played guitar on this ....and many other hits.

All Glenn ever killed was some Brain cells with alcohol.

May he find peace, and slip quietly into the night.

  • @rwwagsneb you are aware im talking about phil spector?

  • @TheAngelosShow --I can read. Can you ? Spector is a spook--always was.

Glenn Campbell is on a farewell tour. Glenn was a very busy Studio Artist--including playing lead guitar and acoustic guitar on this very song.

You are aware I'm talking about Glenn Campbell ?

  • @rwwagsneb yes but why are you talking about campbell when i was talking about spector?

  • @TheAngelosShow --because you don't run the Universe, ...I guess ??

Because this is a public forum ?

Maybe we are sick of the "Wall of Whine" from you ??

Pick a reason, or pick your nose...

  • This song is THE ONLY song that has over 8 MILLION radio plays.. Thank Jesus.

  • Tom Cruise didn't bring me here. The radio did.

  • For some reason, watching this video and listening to the song takes me back. I think it's because my family actually owned a record player and one of the things I loved the most was watching the record spin on the turntable.

My sister was born in 2003 and she's one of the last kids who will ever know what came before the MP3 player.

  • lol Baby Top Gun! /watch?v=edHnHCYG9Jk

  • timeless!!!!!

  • Tom Cruise butchering this song brought me here.

  • Damn, that sounds good. I wish vinyl was more practical, because I do miss that sound. And kids who play nothing but mp3s have no idea what they're lacking in sound quality...

  • That Spector production has really held up. Great sound.

  • love this song :) always reminds me of topgun :) cant help but sing to this everytime it plays.

  • nice turntable. gives this song the lovin feeling it deserves

  • excelente cancion.

  • 68 dislikes my ASS!!

  • Funny. Doesn't look like the "Phillies" label

  • BMI Top 100 Songs of the Century brought me here cause this song is ranked as the number 1, is the first time i listened this song

  • I sing this during every chore and im a 14 year old dude. I watched Top Gun when i was 2

  • This one sounds the best, Thanks for knowing what to do. :)

  • The original artist! Wonderful. But now I prefer the HALL & OATES version. :)

  • You Reds! 67 shot down

  • COME ON FOREST

  • 67 ppl have lost that love and feeling :(

  • Lady GooGoo and the rest suck. Where have all the good ones gone.? The Righteous Bros. Cher, Roy Orbison, you know people who knew how to sing. I miss the days of Blue Oyster Cult, 10cc, Dusty Springfield, The Rolling Stones, The Duprees, The Four Seasons, The Box Tops, The Commodores, Fleetwood Mac, and so many that could sing. There hasn't been a group in over 25 years worth a damn much less a solo singer. I do not listen to anything past the early 80's. Anything past that is not music.

  • @CrimsonChampions Your wrong , there was good music in the 90s aswell, like r,.kelly

  • @CrimsonChampions I wouldn't put cher in the same class as the others you mention

  • being the original singers of this song is good but so is Halls and Oates' version good too. Way better than some of the songs that is played today especially Bieber and Lady Gaga

  • Great song; sounds like it's playing in the room with me.Reminds me of listening to oldies at a high school party with a nice group of boys and girls, all grown with our own kids now. Wonderful memories!

  • 67 individuals fail

  • elvises version it better, but this is ok too.

  • one of the greatest track ever

  • The sound of this song is epic like most of Phil Spector's music. But the sound straight off of vinal makes it even better!

  • bass intro gets me everytime

  • reminds me of bein a child

  • cheers brought me here

  • Maverick: She's lost that loving feeling.

Goose: She's lo... No she hasn't.

    Maverick: Yes, she has.

Goose: She's not lost that lo...

Maverick: Goose, she's lost it, man.

    Goose: Come on!

Goose: Aw sh... I hate it when she does that.

  • @footscraysteve thats what she said

  • it figures that one of the top rated comments would be about how "Top Gun brought me here."

  • the Brian Wilson's autobiography "Wouldn't It Be Nice" is a great one as well but as far as more on Phil, I have no clue. Tearing down covered quite a bit but I know Ronnie Spector wrote a book too. Have you heard the version "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' without the vocals? You can find in Youtube somewhere. That was a small room to record in. The echo chamber, was it the room that gave it that effect. I see no sound absorbtion padding anywhere.

  • A great book to read is "Tearing Down the Wall of Sound" by Mick Brown. Talks about how this excellent song came to be. The Righteous Brothers thought it kinda sucked at first but who knew right? I hate Phil for what he did to Lana but what a freakin' geniuse he was. Timing is everything!

  • @UnitedSoundVideo

I´ve read that, yes great book. my introduction to Phil Spector. Would you recommmend similiar books about Phil?

  • @joecc6 He's a Rebel is also a good book and goes a bit more in depth about Spector's recording techniques and musical output. The echo chamber plus the fact that all of the musician's mics bled into each other was a key component to the Wall of Sound.

  • @evillurkswithinusall

Must read that, thank you for info...

  • Interesting fact : Cher is singing back vocals in this track, before she had her first debut "I've got you babe" with Sony at age 19

  • Interesting fact : Cher is singing back vocals in this track

  • I came here because it said on google that this the most played song ever on the radio. 8 Million views.

  • When you start this video, you hear the long pause, then the pop as the needle this the record....it is like stepping to a transporter that takes you to a much different world. That is amazing.

  • 67 people have lost that lovin' feelin'

  • Basque was spoken in all of Europe as a common language, because almost all the population of Europe had migrated from the Sahara when the formerly productive land became a desert .New cults from Anatolia, all of them promoted male domination. Priests were sent all over Europe with orders to destroy the ancient religion of the Goddess, create nations, and invent new languages for each new nation.Every language had to be based on the basque language because there was no other from which to work

  • This song is so much popular since it was on Top Gun soundtrack

  • wow this song is amazing, thank god for the oldies, peace, love

  • wow if only music was like this now great memories is what we have after all thanks

  • R.I.P. John Walker

  • How simple the "60's", or any period of time for that matter, seemed is all based on how unaware you happened to be. Ignorance is bliss.

  • The 2nd event is much more special...in the late 70s I met & married the true love of my life! It was my 3rd & his 1st marriage. He treated my son like his own &, when the child was killed in an accident,we mourned together. We had some REALLY rough times, he traveled ALOT for his job & I was alone alot as a result, but we made it thru 30+ yrs. My beloved husband passed away last July from lung-brain cancer & this is one of many songs that brings him to mind...but with tenderness not sadness.

  • @CroneGrimalkin I read your comment and I felt this weird feeling inside. I can tell you guys truly loved each other. Gone, but never forgotten. RIP sir.

  • sandyc59.. Thank You Sandy... Fortunately, I found another Califonia girl with whom I just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary with. She is to use the vernacular.. my soul mate.

We were at a Cal. amusement park one niight walking by a place where the Beach Boys were singing "In My Room" . I took her by the arm, went in and we danced to their song. It was beautiful.

  • @7levelGI awww that's so sweet. congratulations on finding your true love.
