Men this is like a common "Thrash/Groove Metal guitar riff" with slapping [why?] on it.

There's 0% funk vibe on it. Slapping your guitar doesn't mean that's funky.

Check out bands like "Living Colour, Faith No More, Fishbone, Primus, Rage Against the Machine" and you'll see you're wrongly naming your stuff.

I'm not doing it on a bass, it's a guitar, and I would be the first to say that the string distance helps with the popping, but that's just me.
