I'm a christian, and I support Israel because they are Gods chosen people(Deuteronomy 7:6) and God blesses those who support Israel (Genesis 12:3). Jesus is not going to kill the jews, but rather once they are all gathered(Ezekiel 36:24) and after the rapture occurs, and the antichrist comes on the scene (Daniel 9:27), the jews will finally recognize Jesus as their Savior (Zechariah 12:10) So i support ALL people coming to Jesus, especially Gods chosen.

Today we say people are "drowning in debt." Jesus walking on water is a metaphor for him being "above" all earthly debts. Instead he was spiritually wealthy. If you went to a conference of evangelicals and asked them would they support US Military action against N. Korea if they attacked S. Korea the vast majority would say yes, same with supporting Taiwan against an attack from the PRC. Yet the island of Formosa and the Korean Peninsula have nothing to do with their end times doctrine (which Maher gets wrong anyway for the record).

Christians don’t support the Jews and Israel for a sinister reason. The Bible (Old Testament - OT) says 2/3rds of the Jews will die in the last days, this isn’t a Christian invention. God predicted this in His pre-Messianic advent in the prophetic books of the OT. BTW – The Bible (NT) also says approximately 2/3rds of Gentiles will die during the Tribulation! The point brought up by the one woman is dead on and a huge one. We can't stereotype Conservative Christians with everyone else that has a faith. To me, that's Bill Maher's one flaw, is that he vaguely stereotypes the religious right with everyone else. Religion only 'warps' your brain if you let it take you too far out from reality. Faith can be great or hazardous, it's up to the individual, not the group as a whole.

I'm a christian, and I support Israel because they are Gods chosen people(Deuteronomy 7:6) and God blesses those who support Israel (Genesis 12:3). Jesus is not going to kill the jews, but rather once they are all gathered(Ezekiel 36:24) and after the rapture occurs, and the antichrist comes on the scene (Daniel 9:27), the jews will finally recognize Jesus as their Savior (Zechariah 12:10) So i support ALL people coming to Jesus, especially Gods chosen.
