I say the graphic is a little better than the last game. It comes a little close to the PS1 graphics.

nice video, the graphics are much smoother, unlike what some comments have said, the original was very blocky and ugly, this one is definitely smoother and crisper. Is it any easier to play? I couldn't work out what to do in the first mission lol

If this game was a little more detailed, I could believe this is 64 bit.

Otherwise it looks like a lot of fun. I've been meaning to buy more games for my Jaguar, since the only game I have for it so far is Tempest 2000.

I think the graphics look much better. It's probably because the textures are being pulled direct from the CD uncompressed. Like AVP, the original Iron Soldier used a lot of processing power just decompressing textures so they could fit the game on a 4MB cart.

Awesome game, I have the rarer cartridge version cause I didn't have the CD when it came out. Even if I don't have time to play it right, its awesome to use the weapons cheat and just level the buildings.

I'm a fool because I used to own a jaguar with nice games like Iron Soldier part one...

spend lots of hours playing, but alas I sold the machine when I temporarily lost interest for gaming when I was 20...

Dam i didn't know they made this game. I loved the 1st one. I was going to buy the Jaguar CD but it went out of business before christmas came so I couldn't get it. Awesome cheesy '80's B movie music though.

Oh wow now this is what I'm talking about if games of this quality came out when PSone and Sega Saturn were out It might have lasted. The audio quality is outstanding compared to other games I've played on the console :)

This was released when the Saturn and PS1 were out.

The game was, but the Jaguar hardware had a good eighteen months on the PS and Saturn. That was it's major design problem - there weren't really any comparable machines at the time to improve upon with your own design. I think there was the Amiga CD32 and the 3DO. That was it.

This is a very rare game... l remember dreaming about one day getting my hands on a copy and l still haven't been able to do so. Great vid thank you for sharing; and you are right the graphics are far superior to part 1.

Quite right. There's phong shading on the weapon in the mission screen, where it used to be gouraud shaded.

Its possible that because it's running off a CD that it's a tiny bit of FMV - but as long as it looks better, who cares?

You have to play it to actually see the difference. The CD version has better texture mapping.

They do, but the difference isn´t so big... the skyscrapers for example didn´t have textures before. You can say that overall there are some more textures and game is slighty faster... you can see that if you play as satyr walker ;) This is one of those Jaguar games I still play today... sure IS3 looks much better, but IS and especially IS2 are one of the best games ever made (in my opinion) on any system... well if you like the genre!
