Marth isn't cheap. His lack of projectiles lead me to defeating YoshSSB's Marth with my Ness. (Granted, I wasn't "deathgrabbed", but he did use the grab release idiocy to his advantage.) YoshSSB defeated my Ness with plenty of the other characters he used too.
The fact of Metaknight being broken differs from each player. Some would say that he's just as good as Marth, Sheik, Peach, etc., others would say he's broken all b/c of the Dimensional Cape glitch on Final Destination (of which people are now finding it to work on other stages as well). MK's weaknesses are all his B moves counting as recoveries and no powerful launch attacks. I played a lot of MKs online. They're really good, but not unbeatable...very close matches.
Oh...I thought "broken" meant the character was glitchy. Then again, knowing how laggy SSBB online can get, MK would've probably had more of an upper hand offline. I don't really mind MK at all. Broken or not, MK is still a playable character. I just play SSBB mainly for fun (the way the game was meant to be played). One thing that helps me overcome MK sometimes is to watch pro MK players (kind of like rreconaissance) and find ways to dodge their combos and such. :)
Other then the dimensional cape I only see meta knight as an extreamly well designed character. His advantages are speed and well chained attacks at the cost of high damage attacks, ranged attacks and heavy knockback.
@Ultimatethinker721 all of meta knights moves can launch. (up smash doesnt do much unless opponent has high damage up to 90-100) i can whoop meta knight easily meta knight is the easiest character to beat and to use just like sonic.
The challenge should be that you play m2k, DSF, and Dojo in a 3 on 1. Then you would see how broken MK is. This video is retarded, cpu's have no knowledge of the metagame and don't know how to abuse meta's broken priority and range. I would be willing to show you why people think MK is broken on wifi. And that would be a much tougher challenge than 2 level 9 cpu's.
Wow. Your comment has so much credibility for you to tell me to take on 3 human players simultaneously. No, really. It makes me worship the ground you walk on. That's why I approved it. You're so awesome to tell me a guy with no projectiles is tougher as a single decent human-controlled character than as two CPUs who would surely abuse MOB TACTICS.
*takes out brain* I agree with johnnyjohns, I mean if 3 people can use the same character and beat a fourth person playing as any other character, then that character must be broken using this same logic Olimar and Jigglypuff my two worst characters are also broken, so are all the other 32 characters.
In fact every character in every game where it's possible to play with at least 3 players is broken using that *bleep*ing retarded logic.
Thanks for mocking out johnnyjohns with your sarcasm. He's nothing but a troll. Shuttle Loop gimp? How are you going to gimp me if I'm on the stage where you can't? WTF?
The only real way to deal with a troll is to find an arguement that forces them to STFU, banishment stopped working on them the moment one of them learned how to make multiple accounts.
Nice song, I lost count of how many times I've rewound this to the start just to listen to it.
I'm not aware of any moves that can punish his Foward B.
Bad partners help because they're an extra target for the enemy. Trust me, I've beaten two of my friends in a mono o mono brawl with only a level 3 Samus to help me.
Meta Knight's decently quick and is near unbeatable in close range versus an expert player.
He isn't the best killer, but his ability to rack up damage quickly is amongst the best, right next to Bowser, Pit, and Sonic.
And for pete's sake, he's got his own tier (I think)
Just saying that the incompetent partner comment was null and void. A moldy slice of bread is still bread.
Staying out of Meta Knight's range is VERY hard, considering that you can only horizantally dodge him: Vertically dodging him is a very stupid idea, as he's one of the best jumpers in the game.
If it punishes shielding, I haven't noticed. I'd rather shield it than Rayquaza's Thunder anyway. Even if he plasters my shield, I still gain the advantage as long as my shield survives.
The incompetent partner is to stop you from being destroyed utterly by mob tactics. And since it's Olimar, you have to actively protect him from gimping.
And vertically dodging in general has to be done with forethought anyway. Most characters have decent anti-air attacks.
And I can't for about a month: I don't own Brawl (or a Wii for that matter), but my friend does and I visit his house every weekend to play Brawl and other games. But I'm currently grounded, so that'll have to wait.
And can I use ANY character I want, sans Bs? I'm not that skilled with Pit anymore...and alot of my game revolves around arrow stuns (I DON'T SPAM) and sheilding (YAY REVERSE-STYLE!)
You'd have to use Pit. He gets B banned for arrow abuse (bad because of stuns) and Wings abuse. But he can maneuver very well anyway. Look at my Peak Damage: 221%. My final damage rating was also 177%--higher than the Olimar's Peak Damage. What happened was me using the Glide during whichever of Pit's midair jumps it was most appropriate for (usually the 2nd one, since using it on the 3rd one makes Pit helpless) to dodge the abuse, glide attacking if necessary. And Pit has workable weight too.
Here's the problem with your statement. There were TWO of them. And for goodness sake, check the handicaps and the CPU levels. Fight under the same conditions against any duo of characters. Tell me it's easy.
As for "too many plusses", you mean the abuse of close range attacks? You do realize he has to get right next to me to hit me, right? He doesn't even have too many moves to do both simultaneously. And all of his B moves can be punished and he relies on smacking the opponent around to not die easily.
There. 3 weaknesses. And big surprise, they're all less punishable in team battles with an incompetent CPU ally.
this is unrealated but is marth cheap he is good againt every char lol self explanatory

Meta Knight's Down Smash can kill, especially on the back hit. However, he still has no projectiles.
By the way, people think Meta Knight is broken without the infinite Dimensional Cape.

Nice song man. Is Meta Knight your fav brawler.?

Actually, Meta Knight isn't even among my mains. I'm just trying to make a point that he isn't broken.
Olimar is my #1.

Why hello there, a slight/major problem with your theory... You what about Brawl?!
Your separating 30+ characters into... how many groups for these tiers? It better be 2 or I'll bring Red into this...
Also, since somebody has to say it.
Tiers are for queers!(and poke'mon 493 is a huge number!) *whacks with wimote*
Hothit05 3 years ago
I don't like tiers any more than you do, but there are glaring balance issues in Brawl. *cougharrowspamcough*

Just shield the Forward B. Or any B move, really.
Bad partners do help because they're an extra target. I know that. The challenge would be implausible if there weren't any partners.
And my advice is to not play into Meta Knight's game. He doesn't have any projectiles, so he has no real way to force you to approach.
MasterKnightDH 3 years ago
His forward B is a great sheild punisher.
Just saying that the incompetent partner comment was null and void. A moldy slice of bread is still bread.

Ok, I'll train a tad with him. It's been a while since I've played as Pit seriously...
CenetaurmanE52 3 years ago
This doesn't prove that Meta Knight isn't broken. You know why?
HE'S A CPU.
A HUMAN PLAYER IS FAR MORE SKILLED THEN THE CPU, AND META KNIGHT HAS WAY TOO MANY PLUSSES TO TRANSLATE INTO HIS WEAKNESSES.
