  • FlightSimTutorials, I have real enviroment xtreme too, but I'm new to it and I don't know really how to set up a flight with it. So I just wanted to know if you could help me set it up, or you could tell me if there's a tutorial out there that could help me. Thanks!

  • Oh also one thing do we just go to the virutal airline and sign up there or do we first go to Vatsim. I'm kind of confused about that. Thanks!

  • Thanks flightsimtutorials I appreciate it.

  • Flightsim tutorials could you please make a tutorial on signining up to vatsim please. I'm trying to get signed up for southwest virtual airlines. And i needed some help. Thank you!

  • @studentpilotfsx62 Actually, signing up for VATSIM is quite easy. If you go to w w w . vatsim.net/about-vatsim/members/joinvatsim/ they have a 4-step process on how to sign up. You gotta go through a couple agreements, complete the signup page then log in as a pilot. The instructions should get you signed up and ready to go. I hope you enjoy the virtual airline world, it's pretty cool. I fly for Virtual Air Canada and Virtual TAROM :)

  • thanks!

  • hey flightsim tutorials do you think the defulat airbus a321 handles realisticly? I really think the engines sound one of the best in fsx. Thanks!

  • @studentpilotfsx62 The flight model for FSX is okay, not perfect but it is adequate. It is not fully realistic, no sim is really. If you want as close to realistic as possible check out Xplane 10. I don't find the default aircraft particularly great. They lack so much detail especially in the cockpit and they don't handle that great, ok but not great.

  • FLIGHT SIMTUTORIALS I HAVA ONE QUESTION.HOW DID YOU GET ATC WINDOW OPEN.

    WHAT TO PRESS ON KEYBOARD.

  • @988stefan press this key " on the top left under escape.

  • hey flightsimtutorials are you flying a real world route or is this one of those default flight plans. Thanks!

  • hey FlightSimTutorials what is your name? I'm just wondering but anyways i love your videos.

  • @fsxtutorials101 Thanks a lot buddy! My name is Vlad.

  • Resonable tut, is it just me or would it be a good idea to turn the Atc sound off instead of trying to talk over it the whole tutorial? I couldnt hear and follow some of it because of it

  • How do you make the plane start from the terminal? Whenever I start a flight I am always on the runway

  • @DTl315 Do you change any settings or do you just click the fly now button?

  • @FlightSimTutorials No I just press free flight select my aircraft, location etc and press fly now. I am then automatically on the runway

  • @DTl315 When you select location, do you specify which gate you want to start at?

  • @FlightSimTutorials Oh right thanks, I have another problem. Don't know if you will know anything about this but when i engage the autopilot on a free flight and then save the game whenever I start a new flight the autopilot is set to the exact same settings immediately. So if i set the airspeed to 300 on one flight it is set to 300 as soon as every other flight starts can anyone help?

  • @DTl315 How do you load the other flights? Do you go to the free flight menu and choose the settings there? Is it just the autopilot settings that revert back to the previous flight?

  • @FlightSimTutorials Yes I just go straight to free flight and select the settings there, and it is only the autopilot which reverts back to the previous flight. For example when I set the speed on one flight to 300 knots it is instantly 300 knots on every other flight so the plane is instantly going down the runway at full speed.

  • @DTl315 That's quite strange. I have not encountered this as of yet. Are you using a built-in aircraft or an add-on aircraft? Also, do you always start from the same airport and the same runway?

  • @FlightSimTutorials I am using the built in boeing 737 but it is exactly the same if I load any aircraft with an autopilot eg an a321 airbus (like the one in this video) or a boeing 747, and I have tried using many different airports and runways and still get the same problem

  • @DTl315

  • How come I don't get "Tune Toronto Clearance", I only get the option to tune the ATIS or Ground. Help?

  • @Kamrua Because I have set up an IFR flight. Go to Flight Planner and create an IFR flight.

  • @FlightSimTutorials Thanks (: I have another question, I don't always get the message "Maintain x until established on the localizer." when approaching a runway. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there any other way to find this ALT?

  • @Kamrua You won't get this in all cases because not all runways/airports are equipped with an ILS system so it can simply be the case that the airport / runway you are landing on is not equipped for an ILS approach.

  • hey nice tutorial, i think thats the best ils landing tutorial on youtube. keep up the good work!

  • how do you find out what altitude the glideslope can be captured at diffrent airports

  • @nightice92 There is no set altitude you must be at to capture the glideslope. Think of glideslope as a beam sent towards the sky at an angle of about 3 degrees with the horizon. This is applicable to all ILS equipped airports. If you use your desk as the ground and imagine drawing a line towards the sky at an angle of about 3 degrees then imagine your are in a plane travelling parallel to ground. The higher the altitude, the further away from the runway you need to be to intersect the line.

  • Because of you i just made my first succesful ILS landing, thank you very much good sir. Really, thank you !

  • @getoutthere2010 I'm very happy to hear that and congratulations!!! :) You're most welcome!!

  • How do I know what the G/S is?Do u get it from the ATC? Cause everytime I've tryed to do a ILS approach i have failed. Because I haven't know what my G/S is :( sorry for bad english

  • @zorkadoo You get the glide slope from the primary flight display. If you watch the rest of the videos you should be able to perform a similar approach. The glide slope comes from the instrument landing system on the ground. Let me know if you have further questions.

  • @FlightSimTutorials I'm not a fsx pro , so what is the primary flight display? lol I know I'm new on fsx

  • @zorkadoo The primary flight display is the first screen on the left.

  • @FlightSimTutorials ok I have figured that out but I still can't ILS approaching last time the plane stalled and crashed another try I landed in the water I've tried this for days with different aircrafts like 737, 747 and on the A321 i can't figure out how to change the nav1 frecuency and I've watched like hundreds of tutorials on ILS ..... GOD HELP ME!

  • is this a321?

  • @alpingcebupacific123

    Yes! This is a321!

  • when do u have to use non smoking button?

  • @Fallschirmjaeger963 The "non-smoking" button is always in the ON position during flight. I doubt there is still an airline left that allows smoking during flight. I could be wrong so let me know if you find out!

  • Um... what about "No Smoking", lol jk. Love the video!

  • @samlikescoasters Thank you very much!

  • Hello!, when i set altitude and vert speed on, the plane is decending very much. Please help i really want help! :)

  • can someone tell me how do i read bank degrees in widebodied aircrafts?

  • do u think the default a321 handles relistically?

  • i had the same problem put your mouse ovet the autopilot auto throttle or alttitude hold and in the middle of the button click it it will say alltitude hold on/off

  • i can never get my autopilot in the airbus a321 i turn on the auto pilot by pressing z and the auto throttle bu none of it works please help ??

  • cold fronts

  • @FlightSimTutorials what do the fuel pumps do in fsx

  • @royalengland Well in real life the electric fuel pumps (ones controlled by these switches) aid in maintaining pressure in the fuel system for aircraft in which the engines are placed at a greater distance from the fuel tanks. There are engine driven pumps which keep the pressure adequate in the fuel lines but for takeoff and landing where the functionality of the engines is critical, these electric pumps are switched on. Usually gravity and engine-driven pumps are enough for most situations.

  • such realistic weather above the first layer. are u using something special or add on???? plz respond

  • @TJace50 Yep I am using Real Environment Xtreme for Flight Simulator X.

  • such realistic weather above the first layer. are u using something special

  • nice but u need to set ur auto pilot stuff before u request for taxi

  • @killerman778 Yeah my mistake.....I didn't have much sleep when I posted the comment and just wrote it down. I mixed it up with another series of videos I made prior to this that uses the 737. My bad but thanks for pointing that out.

  • What aircraft are you using for this?

  • @tyler2010us It's just the default B737 that comes with Flight Simulator X.

  • Nice.. did you used some graphic addon ? Because the clouds are so realistic

  • @LuKingHv REX for Flight Simulator X.

  • Why are the graphics so high quality?

  • Nice Clip! What programming did you use for recording this flight?

  • @renegadeZ18 Thanks! I used Fraps to record.
