  • Knife defense is still such a black art that all info is relevant. Until they come up with a bladed version of MMA we'll never know what really works and what doesn't, so we'll do what we can. Thanks for the technique.

  • we need to understand these are with committed attacks

if he is trying to fake you out with the knife, then he understands you have some kind of training and is trying to be clever or he really don't not want to go after you for one reason or another

if you are all flinchy and stiff and frightened ,you will get faked out & cut up.

you have to allow him in a way ,you can read him and he feels safe to make the comitment to attack

but if u have the chance to exit then exit safety

  • "play with him" =D

  • What kind of pants are you guys wearing? thanks.

  • lol "and I can play with him"

  • The X block is absolutely useless ! this variation is alittle bit better but also not realy good if the enemy is fast !!

  • I would like to see you do it in real time not with all the pausing and stuff

  • Play with him... Haha.

  • "NO plan (or technique / movement) ever survives contact with the enemy." But this is a LOT better than standing there being stabbed, jabbed, sliced and diced. Practical and simple and better than the X block. Me like.

  • I have a pretty good technique It's called "draw and fire". you're a little less likely to get stabbed that way:~)

  • @Springr1911 Your dumb...

  • @Springr1911 I got a better idea..... armor..... armor everything. and a shotgun. maybe a katana.

  • Jajaja play with him, nice!

  • Awesome!

  • i know you guys are spec ops with combat and DA tours and all, but this won't work in a dynamic knife attack{which all edged weapons attack are(dynamic)} unless the attacker is an old women or a pacifist having a bad day. I m no expert either, but from my experience, not really practical, but..what the hell, if you guys are showing it, then it must be valid somehow..

  • @TheSafetysoff Appreciate your honesty. All of these tools are pick and choose and combine what you feel comfortable with and what might work for you. No single Tip is fool proof or the answer to the bad things happening. Enjoy them for what they are worth. Also NOTE: Just because someone is this or that does not mean anything. Experience does help but anyone can get hurt or killed quickly by anyone. Enjoy - Jager

  • This is probably one of the coolest tips I've seen. I feel like if were to preform this in real life you should mentally be prepared to be cut just in case it doesn't go smoothly.

  • @MinnesotaJDM No matter how swift and precise your un-armed defense against a knife attack is, you WILL get cut. No if's and's or But's about it. However, I'd rather get sliced and stitched than stabbed and killed.

  • "and I can play with him" awesome.

  • Bravo look kind of pissed when Jager took him to the ground both times

  • "Thank you my friend." Jager

  • Poor John always getting beat up on hah
