@mataustjadenic But the French Army didn't have alot of famous military styles in there, like the frontier tanks were reminecent or the Sherman and the Abrahams (spelling error) tanks. The french didn't have alot of signicture styles which the developers could base their models on.
They have the WWI Renault tank as their light tank, the AMX-56 Leclerc as their Heavy Tank and the Typhoon as a fighter, they have a bunch of stuff to use.
The Renault was one of the first tanks ever produced, weak caliber rounds, fast as a wounded guy walking but it freaked the hell out of everyone. Also was the German MBT thanks to clever soldiers stealing them and putting Iron Crosses on them.

yeah, they just seemed better, i guess. The tundran's Battlestation looks like a big red blob with wheels and guns, the Xylvanian one, well i don't know, i just don't like it, and the Western frontier one isn't in BWii. But the iron legion one, it just kicks ass in looks and power. >:D
so can the others, in BW1 you can't manually drop bombs, but when you're over some enemy target it automatically drops a payload of heavy bombs that do more damage than regular bombs, but they even drop if the target was a fighter. :/

Cheers for the comment. All these music recordings were done by me with a capture card and are thus not 'professional' audio rips. If someone extracted the music with the right tools, the quality would be much higher.
In the game, the music is lowered in volume whenever CO messages come up. It might do that even when the voice acting is off, which might be why the music here fades in and out a bit. I don't know just what he did while recording it, so that's a guess.
I've said it before but I'll say it again, great music and a fine upload to go with it.

i just dont understand how a midevil army could actually even come close to taking over the world. I can understand that the nations 200 years ago were probably extremely low tech people with the Iron Legion being eons ahead of their possible technology, but the Solar Empire was still the same. They had lasers, static electric mortars, and the knowledge to create orbital sattelight weapons! All the Legion had was Nerocite, which turned out to be quite powerful. If the Legion won, i'd be pissed!
Jaimas, I like your analysis, especially the fact someone knows what they are talking about in detail. But you forgot to mention the Western Frontier's Light Tank is just a cartooned up Sherman Tank. And the Tundran Kasparov-57 is an AK-47. Sorry, just had to put that in there.
What is hilarious is the idle banter of the soldiers under your command if you play the Tundrans; they speak with the same thick Russian accent Nova does, and a lot of their quotes are completely hilarious.
One of them, which is rather rare, is occasionally done by the Tundran Rifle grunts - they hum a part the Soviet Anthem!
All the Battalion Wars countries' gear are based on famous military equipment from various wars IRL.
The Frontier's gear is based off of the Cold War Era-USA. You can see this in their use of "BW-ified" units from that era, including their gunship (a Stylized AH-1W Super Cobra), Tank (A stylized M1A1 Abrams), Assault Veteran (Using a stylized M60), and so on.
This is purposefully mocked in BW1, with the demilitarized zone satirizing the east/west conflict of the Cold War.
Similarly, the Tundrans use Cold War Era-Russia. You can likewise see this in their use of units from that era, especially their aircraft.
Xylvania is based on modernized variants of WWI German hardware. This, of course, parodies Germany from World War 1 with Kaiser Vlad, and the distinctive tracks of the ground vehicles make the contrast especially obvious. A bit of WWII material is mixed in for spice and good measure (especially their Anti-Air).
Xylvania is like ww1 Germany, and i would think that the Iron Legion is more akin to early Germanic tribes such as the goths, visigoths, and others. due to their strange language and steam powered everything, harking back to before internal combustion engines.
But the Iron Legion's gear was powered by burning Nerocite, a crystallized substance similar to coal that was highly noxious. Modern Xylvanian units use Nerocite as well, but they are far more efficient.
Xylvania definitively has some of the coolest vehicles (they are supposed to be weird, the funky treads being remanecant of the ones used back in World War I).
I don't really see how often high-pitched or silly, computer-generated SNES music sounds like this--a fully orchestrated 6th/7th-gen composition nothing short of epic. It's just my opinion, I know folks will have tastes all over the block, but as for my own, this is quite different than Donkey Kong Country.
Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a Strato Destroyer's hull smash down on the ground next to you and then hearing a Tundran guy shout "Victoryyy!"

I can understand that the nations 200 years ago were probably extremely low tech people with the Iron Legion being eons ahead of their possible technology, but the Solar Empire was still the same. They had lasers, static electric mortars, and the knowledge to create orbital sattelight weapons! All the Legion had was Nerocite, which turned out to be quite powerful. If the Legion won, i'd be pissed!

What is hilarious is the idle banter of the soldiers under your command if you play the Tundrans; they speak with the same thick Russian accent Nova does, and a lot of their quotes are completely hilarious.
One of them, which is rather rare, is occasionally done by the Tundran Rifle grunts - they hum a part the Soviet Anthem!

All the Battalion Wars countries' gear are based on famous military equipment from various wars IRL.
The Frontier's gear is based off of the Cold War Era-USA. You can see this in their use of "BW-ified" units from that era, including their gunship (a Stylized AH-1W Super Cobra), Tank (A stylized M1A1 Abrams), Assault Veteran (Using a stylized M60), and so on.
This is purposefully mocked in BW1, with the demilitarized zone satirizing the east/west conflict of the Cold War.

Similarly, the Tundrans use Cold War Era-Russia. You can likewise see this in their use of units from that era, especially their aircraft.
Xylvania is based on modernized variants of WWI German hardware. This, of course, parodies Germany from World War 1 with Kaiser Vlad, and the distinctive tracks of the ground vehicles make the contrast especially obvious. A bit of WWII material is mixed in for spice and good measure (especially their Anti-Air).

Xylvania is like ww1 Germany, and i would think that the Iron Legion is more akin to early Germanic tribes such as the goths, visigoths, and others. due to their strange language and steam powered everything, harking back to before internal combustion engines.

But the Iron Legion's gear was powered by burning Nerocite, a crystallized substance similar to coal that was highly noxious. Modern Xylvanian units use Nerocite as well, but they are far more efficient.

I don't really see how often high-pitched or silly, computer-generated SNES music sounds like this--a fully orchestrated 6th/7th-gen composition nothing short of epic. It's just my opinion, I know folks will have tastes all over the block, but as for my own, this is quite different than Donkey Kong Country.
