My brother, see you a viewing Christianity from an American perspective. Look at Christians in Africa and in China. Would you say they are not obeying God's commandments? Are thing getting better for them? Look at the Christians during the inquisition and the early church in Acts that were poor and persecuted. Would you say they weren't keeping God's commandments?

What greater blessing can a man have than eternal peace with God? How does any or "blessing" even compare?

But really if you have intentions of using that money in a way to show that Christ is your greatest treasure other than the million, then yes take the million.
