  • Maaannnn..........

  • How is this racist?

It's a song. About an ape....wanting to be human.

    NOTHING MORE.

  • @hichixichifoeva Rudyard Kipling (in addition to writing the Jungle Book) made a poem called "The Whiteman's Burden" which was about the civilising power of England. I'm guessing the cartoon of the Jungle Book toned down a lot of the rhetoric in the Jungle Book.

  • So Louie wants to be like humans? I'm afraid Ceasar beat him to the punch.

  • @ronin6401 At least Louis didn't attempt to wipe out humanity.

  • @ronin6401 haha Ceasar's a little late, bud

  • @jojo26745 it is

  • @jojo26745 THat's because it is Phil Harris voiced Thomas O Malley as well.

  • @TwistedSister09 lol no wonder they sound the same i didnt know they were voiced by the same person thanks for telling me that :)

(For the people that thinks this video is racist, look for a video "Louis Prima - Jungle Book", where it explains how they came up with the idea for the animation of this song. Is very cute. )

  • 1967!

  • Why is Winnie the Pooh the artist?

  • @purpleintense Well Bruce Reitherman played voice of Christopher Robbins from Winnie the pooh...

  • @tehpwn3dlife Yes and some dumbass kids thought Jonas brothers created it and when they found that to be false they said JB was better. ugh...

  • @TwistedSister09 The who??? o_0 (haha)

  • and unwind yourselves!

  • Thank you to all the people who commented political on this video for saving us from aliens. I imagine anyone from another country or planet that read the garbage and hate that spews from your mouth would keep on going. You are our true national heroes.... you in your minds at least.

  • king of the swingers haha

  • King Louie is awesome lol

  • Best...song...ever.

  • now heres tha deal cuuuuuzzzz.....

  • Get MAAAAD babyyy!

  • FUCKING BALOO!!! WHAT A CRAZY MUTHAFUCKA!!!!

  • one of the apes at 0:25 sounds just like otto from the simpsons :O

  • wait a minute...why is there a bear in the jungle?

    let me repeat. THE JUNGLE.

last time i checked bears lived in forests not jungles.

  • @jbyggdin lol this is based in INDIA, there are bears in the Jungle and they are sometimes hunted and killed by tigers, but not often. :)

  • @jbyggdin Thousands of bears live in the jungle. You might want to do some research.

Here is a little tid bit for you do you know wolfs live in the jungle too? Not some different species of wolf the same exact species that lives in the Arctic.

Another tid bit...Brown Bears like the ones at Yellowstone in Africa?

Yup...Humans killed the last brown bear in Africa around the turn of 20th century.

    Reading is fun!

  • @jbyggdin google sun bear ya smart ass

  • 2:37 HATA'S BE HATIN'

  • Artist: Winnie the Pooh.

    Yeah, nice one...

  • Everyone thinking this is racist needs to check themselves. The man that voiced King Louie was Louis Prima, a SICILIAN jazz singer, not African-American or anything which you could think this was racist. It's about an orangutan that wants to be a human. So stop thinking so hard and enjoy the music.

  • Take me home daddy!!

  • Oh sweet lord, I come onto a Disney clip and everyone's ranting about racism?!

Effing hell, Disney's meant to be all-out fun! Come on, people!

  • Comment removed

  • @Cthulufhrockin So Rudyard Kipling's a douche-bag, doesn't mean it should ruin a Disney Classic!

  • @GamerChickSER oh, I agree. What I meant is Disney actually improved on it.

  • @Cthulufhrockin BOO-YA!!!!

  • @GamerChickSER You can't fart without being a racist these days.

  • @GamerChickSER you have alot to learn.

  • @shakeshaftthomas I'm 17. I have LOADS to learn, and I really don't need you, a complete stranger, to tell me something I already know (:

  • @GamerChickSER like you also i am 17 and when you learn about the media imperialism of Disney and the actual term " Disneyfication" you will notice what most people are talking about.

  • @shakeshaftthomas I REALLY don't care. I came here to enjoy my favourite scene from my favourite Disney film and now all people can do is lecture me about this, that and everything. I don't care. I am here for Disney. My original comment did stress my distaste of racism mentioned on this video, but I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't even matter. Not to me and it shouldn't matter to anyone else either.

My dad compared my favourite band's style to this song. That is why I'm here.

    Peace.

  • "im goooone man, solid gone"

    "NOT YET, BALOO!!!!"

ahaha ahh i love that bit

  • @troysome12 He is the best bear ever

  • Everyone's going on about racism in old Disney films (and for some reason this clip)... but please realise that for the times they were made, it wasn't considered a bad thing.

What about sexism in Disney?! I could rant and rave about that for hours... but what's the point? It was acceptable back then, and we've changed over the years... who's to say that in 30 years time people wont be complaining about how un-PC the films of today are.

  • i could watch this a hundred times

  • i wish i could peel bananas like king louis

  • lol hint he said cousin...

  • @lovetw09 Uhh, ya, plenty of people consider apes to be the cousins of humans. I don't see anything racist about this. So apes/monkeys and/or jazz is synonymous with blacks? Anyone who makes those connections is infinitely more racist than this scene.

  • @Highbernating You Assuming Tht Person Is Being Racist Makes You Racist xDD

  • @HermonieG1 This doesn't make any sense. I'll assume you are trying to be funny.

  • @Highbernating Do You Need To Assume? XD Is A Laughing Face Artard

  • Comment removed

  • LOL @ 1:15, King Louis can't count.

  • @MrAddyginsh Are you sure? I gave Mowgli one banana, then two more, equaling three!

  • @bishop186 Yeah I guess, I only mentioned it because he said 2 bananas, yet he held up 3 fingers, both at the same time.

  • I like the drawing style of this cartoon... they used to make some really good cartoons, unlike nowadays.

  • Louis Prima was Italian, and one of the greatest showmen of all time.

  • @TrioxinKustoms as good as all the italians do...good food, excellent country, good music, best cars, etc... in conclusion, Italy is the top of the best!!!!

  • These niggers...!

  • @NochbeiVerstand UMM DO YOU know how racist you are i'm part African American and WHITE people used this word because they looked down on African Americans and it means EXACTLY that IT means someone who's lower than someone else my people have come a long way and if YOU HAVE NOTICED LATELY BLACK is the NEW WHITE!! What you said was so racist and defensive they had to take shit from Crackers and i THINK they deserve to be in the spotlight!!

  • @hellokitchic WHITE brought the blacks here so be thankful and nigger is not what it used to be stop living in the past we learned from our mistakes we should have never brought a "MAJORITY" of you because just some are dumb as shit and so are some white and other races. but survey say's blacks are more to serve time in jail... and if a nigger can call another nigger a nigger... and a nigger can call a white man cracker fuck you ill call you a nigger all i want.. nigger

  • @hellokitchic "BLACK is the NEW WHITE!" Yeah, today its trendy to be black - YET! But I'm not trendy and I'm proud of it. And so on. But I'm just mean in words, I don't wanna hurt people seriously.

  • This is the REAL disney. I'll be honest, when i was a kid, i wasnt really a disney fan, i liked jungle book and lion king andd thats about itt, i was moree intrested in Batman, etc. But i will say this, todays disneys dependds too much on special effects, computer animation, etc. They have no good storylines like jungle book, etc. If the producers worked more on theirr storylines instead of their crappy graphiccs then disney would be great again.

  • Jungle Book + Lion King = The Good Old Days!

  • Oh, i hate it when im singing a nice jazzy song with my pimp chimps and than a transgender bear comes and steals my man cub away. god I hate it.

  • @peacockfeather21 best comment ever LOL

i love how King Louie's eyes roll in circles when he says "crazy"

  • That monkey with the white hair.

    Is so annoying.

  • Why is it everything wots put on YouTube doesn't matter wot it is pple are always saying it's racist! FFS!! It's a children's cartoon and so are all rest ov the cartoons like Peter pan jeysus I have black friends and even they think it's pathetic sum ov the comments saying the cartoons are racist! Don't like it don't watch it simples!!!

  • King Louie, pioneer of scat singing.

  • That white haired monkey!

  • I never knew Winnie the Pooh was the artist of this song! Check the discription box.

  • Disney is now owned bySONY this isn't getting any better -.-

  • mowgli must've found sum good shit in that jungle lol

  • fire can be made from a lighter maches and sticks and stones

  • King Louie: Have two bananas! *holds up three fingers*

  • @Jodabomb24 no, he was signalling the fact that the boy had THREE bananas. lol sorry to burst your bubble :)

  • @Jodabomb24

But isn't that because he already gave him one?

  • I wish animals actually did stuff like this

  • Stop with the racist comments, Disney is a bit messed up and racist, but just let it go, every on this movie has a smooth jazzy voice SO JUST LISTEN

  • I played Baloo in my school play. It was so fun to dance around in a hula skirt!

  • Why does Balloo remind me of John Goodman?

  • @Cpt50Caliber Didn't John Goodman voice Balloo in the sequel?

  • @brifitz1980

No idea, I neva saw the sequel

  • @Cpt50Caliber @brifitz1980 As far as the original is concerned, it's Phil Harris, if I remember right

  • @brifitz1980 Yes.

  • its king louie the artist not winnie the pooh!!!!!

  • German version is better ;D

  • @Kajaindal thats what they thought in 1940 too

  • @Kajaindal Bollocks

  • what are in those bananas!? he is soo stoned! lol i love the movies i grew up with!

  • artist is Winnie the pooh?!?!?!?! Da Fuck?!?!

  • oh look its a black person

  • @WhiteRabbitm8te oh look its a faggot

  • @mymarkis666 i didnt know the monkey was black and a child molester...typical

  • @WhiteRabbitm8te Only white people molest children.

  • @WhiteRabbitm8te .. The artist behind the voice of King Louie is Louis Prima, Silican-American.. not even any where near what you think. Enjoy the song and the wonderful years of Disney and the great dedication they had to childhood memories.

  • IT DESERVES MORE VIEWS THAN JUSTIN BIEBERS ANY VIDEO.... PLS SHARE THIS SONG .... I LOVE IT

  • Chewbaccachewbaccachewbaccachewbacca.

  • one of disneys best musical numbers ever

  • OH NO not a inuindo about Evolution!!!! XD

  • King Louis voice is done by Louis Prima...he is Sicilian, not black. I don't see much racism here.

  • "Man...what a beat...."

  • @blacklable1960 King Louis is the voice of Louis Prima, a white (or possibly hispanic) Jazz musician. Not a BLACK actor as you put it. And if you listen to the voice of the monkey who says "We got him King Louis!" He doesn't have an urban sounding voice at all. People look into this movie way too much. Sure, some Disney movies are racist, but I don't think this scene makes that point very well.

  • @gusty01 which disney movies are racist? i havent picked up on any of them

  • @Devilkryer Quite a few of them actually. The most well discussed is Dumbo. The beginning scene with the circus workers, and the crows are incredibly racist. There are others too, but off the top of my head I can't think of any

  • @gusty01 Louis Prima, a jazz legend out of New Orleans, was a Sicilian American, and I agree, there are some far more explicit examples of racist moments in Disney movies...the crows in Dumbo come to mind immediately

  • @cazia9 maybe, especially considering the lead crow was named "Jim"

but then again, they were the only other characters (aside from his mother and the mouse) to show Dumbo any kindness

  • @gusty01 Louis Prima was Italian, you gotta love the irony HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @SookieO what's ironic about that?

  • @gusty01 Louis Prima was Sicilian

  • @gusty01 Louis Prima is Italian-American :D

  • @gusty01 actually...louis prima is italian...

  • @gusty01 There's also the fact that the 'White' jazz singer is the monkey, not a black singer, but nobody notices that. I personally think it's funny, they argue about a white Jazz singer, yet if he was voiced by a black singer, it'd still be considered racist. Why not just enjoy the good job Louis Prima did with the character? It's my favorite song in the whole thing!

  • White or black, it is a nice songs, doesen matter the colours of skin.....Luise Amstrong, the great jazzman sing in this cartoon movie, so is no racist, maibe in some head.

  • @Ducul0309 This was voiced by Louis Prima ("The King of Swing" - an Italian American singer) not Louis Armstrong. Common mistake though. I'm much agreed, it's still an amazing song.

  • @blacklable1960 The baboon is voiced by a white guy named Leo De Lyon. King Louie is played by a Sicilian-American guy named Louis Prima. Sounds like you're the one making racist assumptions.
